I am not critisizing or judging or sayin im sick of it but my question is:

What do we honestly gain from hearing the same lame and repeated Bashing of Bush andthe IRaq war? We already know you think he fucked up, but plz for the love of God move on and let me know what Kerry is planning to do with athe situtation becuz if alot of u took over u would pick up our troops and leave. I just want to know what KErry stands for in the IRaq war besides being really good at talking about Bush!

Kerry has already said he won't pull out of iraq if he's elected. And I agree with smokinskier, but we hear the same stuff from both sides on every issue. I must've heard 'Forget about all the things Bush told us about Iraq, Saddam was bad and the country is better off without him' at least 500 times. 'Homosexuality is unnatural, men weren't meant to be with men', 200 times. 'Fetuses are conscious, living human beings', 400 times. The second a new thread on a similar subject is posted, everyone gets amnesia about what's been said before. It's annoying. I don't want to repeat myself anymore.

Lots of peole bash Bush because they have seen what has happened while he was in office and they don't like it. Therefore, they want Bush out of office, because they don't like what he has done with the country. They might not think that Kerry is suddenly going to turn this country around and solve all of the country's problems, but they can be pretty sure that he's not going to screw the country up more than Bush did.

smokinskier i think you should take a closer look at the conservatives on this site, take a closer look at how they're representing your political alignment. look over the controversial issues threads and evaluate the contributions made by both sides. the issue as far as i've noticed over my time on ns, is that there are far fewer posts that provide valuable insight into the minds of republican political agenda. there are plenty of dumbasses on here you strip bush of any credibility and while i agree with them, the issue is that they haven't qualified their claims, often they just repeat what their parents say. but beyond that i notice with much higher frequency intelligent liberal posts outnumbering intelligent republican posts. besides what really makes your partisans look bad is that their arguements are often chalked full of bigotry and ignorance. liberal posts whether well researched or not, often show quite a bit more compassion.

like agingeri said, i like to think i'm above 'petty' bush slamming. understand that i truely disagree with his policies and political decisions. i think he has seriously dammaged the reputation of our country.

i don't love kerry. but i hate bush. which would you rather drink, blended cow feces or spicy v8? neither sounds particularly appetizing, but i think you know which one i'd perfer.

Yet unchecked Bush hating with nothing to back it up just looks stupid. I was very critical of CLinto when he was in office, in fact I hated the man, but I had reasons even when I was like 7 (hense the 92 comment in my sig.) If you are going to hate on Bush say more then he fucked up Iraq or regurgitate Moore, be able to lay out your own reasons and back them up. But if you are going to bash Bush back it up and don't just say 'I fucking hate Bush' and the shove your thumb up your ass, listen to NOFX, and beat off to Bowling for Columbine because it is cool. Do it because you know what is going on and not because your are a leftist 'cool' media slut or some ignorant ass bitch who hears other people with valid points bitch about Bush and trys to be like them. Thats all.

^you must not pay attention to anything I (and about 10-15 other kids) say in pretty much all the political threads, because we always back up with facts and more often than not (not bragging) totally defeat the arguments of republicans that concern bush.

some liberals do make good arguments, but others make absolutely retard ones such as a javascript counter that shows how much the war is costing us. So don't get all high and might about it, and you know just as well as I do that some kids only reason for hating bush is Iraq, and if asked what else they would just look retarded and be unable to say anything else.

and most of the arguments end up fading off into oblivion without any clear outcome because people get bored and tired of it. It has been a while since their has been a decient discussion that hasn't ended with a couple of liberals picking on an ATL or some counterpart. Not in a while have any had a clear winner or loser.

Yes many liberals make good arguments and so do many conservatives but i find some of them(from both sides to be very repetative. I didnt want to turn this into a thread about bashing the other side i really just wanted to know more about what KErry stnds for and his ideas of what he would do for the war i figured the liberlas on here would know best. Yet, Kerry also voted to go to Iraq, so he is just as much to blame as Bush. Granted Kerry didn't have the amount of power as Bush but he was still in favor of the war.

Smokinskier, get it in your head that most of the bush bashers on this site are not Kerry fans. I would bet that very few people here really think Kerry is an ideal candidate for the presidency. When a lot of the liberals on this site line up Kerry and Bush, they see two subpar candidates, but Kerry does look a lot more promising, and they know that having Bush in office for another four years would not improve the state of this country.

Just a little fun fact BEFORE we went to war France, Germany, and the United Nations all said that Iraq had WMDs. So under those facts your brilliant candidate also thought it was enough to go to war so heis opinion is not valid by any means.

He didn't know? I beg to differ. The head of a a CIA directed mission to investigate concluded the following 'I have little choice but to conclude that some of the intelligence related to Iraq's nuclear weapons program was twisted to exaggerate the threat'. He submitted this to the CIA and it was ignored by the Bush administration. And the aluminum tubes that were supposed to be used in making centrifuges for nukes? It was concluded by agents of the UN security council that the tubes, 'unless modified, would not be suitable for manufacturing centrifuges.' He had all of this information, and yet he went ahead and gave his speeches anyways, 'Iraq has WMDs, Iraq has WMDs, Iraq has WMDs'. He said it so much that people believed him. I mean, he wouldn't just say that if he knew it wasn't true... that would be political suicide. Or so you'd think.

And don't get me started on his Iraq-Al Qaeda connection statements. Look back through the forums and you'll see, I've said these claims were false ever since I joined this site, and backed my claims up with solid proof which is now common knowledge. If some nobody like myself can figure this stuff out, why can't the government of the most powerful nation in the world do it? Pleading ignorance in a situation like this is lying to cover up another lie, and this administration can only sell us so many whoppers before we're fed up.

I've said all this before, but apparently everyone just plain forgot, and started spouting the same things they have in the past. I'm having deja vu every time I look at one of these threads. This would be what you were accusing the liberals on this site of doing, wouldn't it, Smokinskier?

Last week Kerry and Edwards held a convention and rally that was attended by a multitude of celebraties. The celebraties said some lewd jokes and made harsh comments about George Bush, calling him a lier, theif, etc. Then Kerry basically endorsed the comments. So this appeared to be distasteful and the Bush admin. thought it could use footage from this rally against the Kerry team. The Bush admin. demanded Kerry release the footage to the public so the public could see how lewd and crewd Kerry is. So in turn one of Kerry's advisors asked the Bush admin. to release documents pertaining to: Bush's conversations and communications with the CIA in relation to the Bin Laden family and Mideast Oil after the 9/11 attacks, records from his National guard past (cause he could never prove the records were wrong that he ditched out), communications with Haliburton about no-bid Iraq contracts, his former cocaine use, the list goes on. Guess what? The Bush admin refuses to release these documents. So here we have on the one side: the republicans smashing the democrats for being to non-wholesome during a rally and making a fuss about basically nothing. And then the other side: democrats AGAIN asking to see these potentially damneding documents to make them public. Does anyone else think it's disconcerting that the republics are hiding such important information, makes you think they are hiding it for a reason.

Did you figure it out yourself, or did someone tell you that you guessed correctly? Nice attempt to put the government lower on the inteligence list than the most celebrated politics guru on an internet forum populated by 12 year olds. Have a gold star.

Again, proof can be elusive. Can it be proven that Bush saw the evidence? Since I hate pinning everything on one guy, Did a large number of other government officials see the proof? Did some moron with an agenda withhold infromation? Have I ever knocked over an old lady and ran over a puppy trying to get a great deal at K-mart? Good luck trying to get anyone to testify to their own mistake or wrong doing, they will either tell the truth and say no, or lie and give the same answer.
If the information was presented to Bush's speechwriters, we still don't know their justification for sticking to the origional story.
Before you write me off completely, I'm not a closeminded Bush follower, I'd just like to know what is going on before I start tossing out my perceptions as fact. Which explains my fantasy land idea of having the primary government administration localized enough that a person could ask a leader whats going to happen next and get a reply. Shouldn't every boring detail be available for review and comment before it happens? Shouldn't I be able to suggest ideas and have them considered or refuted with an intelligt reply? Shouldn't our government be working for us?

Kerry talked about plans to give every American access to health care and ways to encourage the development of new energy sources to replace oil. He also criticized front-running opponents Howard Dean and Dick Gephardt, who have said they want to roll back all of President Bush's tax cuts.

'Two of the principal opponents in the race want to raise your taxes. I believe that's a big mistake because the middle class I'm meeting across Iowa can't afford those increases,' Kerry said.

Instead, he would eliminate the tax cuts for people who earn more than $200,000 a year and retain some of the cuts for middle-class Americans, which include a tax credit for parents.

Asked how he would appeal to younger voters, Kerry said he stood for many of the causes that most appeal to a new generation of voters, such as the environment and fighting big business.

He talked about staging peace protests after his return from the Vietnam War.

'I've been there. I see some other candidates in this race who talk about it, but where were they when we were fighting these fights?' he said. 'Where were they when we were out there on Earth Day 1970 trying to fix the environment in this country?'
