Skiing without poles was sooo last year... but seriously I understand those who do not ski with poles there's really no need in the park that I can see, mainly a comfort thing. I on the other hand always ski with poles because I never ski park, it's a balance thing I cannot ski trees nearly as confidently or as quick without poles. Plus where the hell are you supposed to put your damn hands if you don't have poles.

I just make em outta a tree called lancewoods, shape em down some varnish on em, hollowed out projectile tips and anything that i can use to for grips

I like to rock no poles in the park for a run or two. But it really sucks being in the trees without poles. I usually keep my poles on me

Personally, I prefer no poles to having poles.
Though, some days I'll use poles, but most/common days I wont use poles.
I just feel so much more free, and falling with poles have really effed up my hands some times.
Grabbing without poles is also a breeze.

Yong, that's why you need pointy sticks with grips.
I feel really naked without poles, but I'll ditch them every now and again.

I always feel more in control when i use poles, something about them makes me feel balanced. I'll ditch em when i'm hiking something though. Mime come up to about mid thigh.
