Avalanche instructor recomended hiding booze all over the wood, with tranceivers next to them. Begin searching, and as time goes on, you get buzzed, simulating panic experianced in a real search. anyone ever do this?

no, you put a transceiver, and flask in a sleeping bag in a pack, and bury it in a slide scar, so its hard to find, and then repeat till you have several. Then let the festivities begin!

Having been both drunk and in panicked transceiver searches... I don't think that the feelings are very similar. But it sounds like a fun drinking game and you're practicing with your beacon at the same time so I may have to try this.
