So here we are like 2 duelers of the wild west. One skier and one snowboarder stand proud on either side of the square staring each other dead in the eye. When the dust settles one will remain victorious, while the other limps away in shame.

Alta-Holic Price Foulger has taken the stand for the skiers and is ready to do battle. Don't leave him standing alone. We need EACH AND EVERY vote we can to take down the monster that is Snowboarding.

Get your self over to the contest page http://contour.com/contests/march-radness/bracket and place your votes. Not only can we not let snowboarding take this in general, Price threw down a pretty sick edit on our behalf, so its worth the watch.

There is no "battle" between skiers and boarders- we all ride together.  As far as the contest goes, it is disappointing that the skier who is now competing for first place has that position based on luck in bracketing and because of a massive add campaign to vote for him.  There were much better skiers in the contest who did not make it to the top.  It would be nice if whoever votes now would actually watch the videos and base their vote on the talent of the rider and quality of the video.  In my opinion there is no question that the boarder's video is superior.

it's obviously all in good fun, a friendly competition, not an actual "battle". i almost voted for the boarders video, but reviewed both a 2nd time and decided i preferred the skiing video. you're taking this little contest way too seriously.

completely agree. I also personally think the snowboarding video is much better - quality and talent - on the filming, editing, and riding aspects. I think it is a shame that the skiing video wasn't better than it is and I'm afraid the majority of it's votes are just because it's skiing... over snowboarding. I think if Mark's video was advertised in such a large place such - such as newschoolers - than he would take it hands down. I'm still disappointed ns is advertising it on top of ski gabber... don't really think it's fair. I asked for it to be taken down but.. I guess it was just reworded..

The contest is all for fun, we are just trying to generate a little hype to get people to go vote. People can vote for whichever video they feel they want to support. There are equivalent threads on various snow boarding forums. Contour is encouraging a little fun sport vs sport competition, hence the skier vs snowboarder bracketing idea. The last thing we want to do is encourage hate on the hill, but why can't we play it up a little here?

I completely disagree. The skiing edit was pretty bad in my opinion. I voted for the snowboarder's because he had far superior riding, filming and editing in his video. If you watch both it is no competition. I would be embarrassed for "skiing" if we won with that as our video. Especially because the only reason the skier could win is because we teamed up to vote for our fellow 2 planker.

Snowboarding video was much better in my opinion. the ski edit is 95% go pro which is not all that great to watch and he falls on the majority of the tricks. there are many more skiers that could better represent skiing in a poor boys movie than this kid. (not tryin to hate) i just thought the snowboarding edit was a lot better filmed and put together and the riding was sick. vote for the snowboarder he deserves it more

skier doesn't land half of his airs/maneuvers. Marks got the tricks, the landings, and the all around video quality. its a shame that a contest with such a dope prize on the line goes to someone with more facebook friends. GO MARK!

No doubt Eric!

And its not "crazy" he gets to "film" with poor boyz, its pretty lame how he wont go anywhere after his one week prize of filming with them. Mark could have done something cool with that kind of an opportunity in my opinion. Even a couple of the other skiers in the competition were a lot better riders.

Obviously Mark should have won, but as far as the skier bracket goes, this video got beaten by a pov of riding some chopped pow.  Worldly Fail?
