reeallly cuz i just went through alot of pennies playin penny poker and bettin on oldest pennies and stuff and i have alot of pennies from that age period
working as a cashier for a fast food place is the best way to find coins. So much money coming in and the people coming through aren't..the sharpest tools in the shed so they don't usually notice the special change they're handing me. This summer alone I found 71 wheatback pennies, 9 of which were steel pennies, one indian head (1901 - my oldest) a bunch of silver dimes that I can't find right now and an entire roll of silver quarters (thats a shit ton of pricey silver for all you noobs). I ruv collecting coins.
My grandma and I took back all her coins that she was saving up to this coin expo, seriously there was like 3 briefcases full of like less than 1900-1970 quarters, pennies, nickles and dimes. It took like 4 hours to sort through all of them there, but we came out with over 2 grand in money
Got a quarter from like the 30's, it's actual silver, youcan bounce it off a table and it makes a much higher pitch ring than any new quarter. pretty cool I guess.
it is indeed an amazing sounds. its how i found it actually, just got it with normal change but as I was clanking two quarters together in my pocket i could tell something was different.
yeah I figured it wasn't all silver even back then.
not impressed. my parents just recently emptied a 5 gallon bucket full of change and it had 1600 dollars in it. so you basically got face value and some coin snobs probably ripped you off for some really valuable coins.
whats your point? i'm just saying that it's no surprise that he got 2000 dollars for 2000+ dollars worth of coins. i don't know shit about coins and you can bet i've never collected one, but it doesn't take a genius to run that shit through a coin counter before you sell to some retard who tells you how much its all worth.
