Can i hit rails with alpha 1s?

the graphite race base could get messed up? maybe thats what i heard but i also heard that they are fine on rails? someone help me out

yeah, for sure, just wax them often. I have only waxed my bases twice this winter though and mine look fine after hitting lots of rails.

The base is no less durable it just means that they will dry out faster and therefore need to be waxed more often.

Yes. My friend rides them and slays rails on them. Just wax them often and you should be good.

I'd say about once every week and a half or every 6 trips out. If you don't wax them enough or once a month, It can damage the base and cause it to not absorb a lot of wax.

But seriously those bases are more durable then the regular ones as long as they are waxed every 4-5 days on snow.

I heard that every 4-5 days was more so that you could have the ski at max potential. Would it still work good if you only waxed it ever month or so?

From my experience those bases slide a shit load faster than most. Definitely keep wax in them. I'm not sure why more people don't do this on NS, but I wax mine at least every other day on hill just to keep the bases clean.

They aren't go to work as well, but yes, they will still slide down the hill if you wax them every month. At the least I would do every two weeks, preferably sooner than that.

yes, and as mentioned, waxing them regularly will keep the bases in good condition and will prevent excessive rail damage to the bases....

a weekly wax will keep your skis in good condition, more often is even better and will only be beneficial for the durability of your base....
