every one what's to be sponsored and with reason, but this is what it is really about, Brand names, look what they do what they get out of it, yes exposure , look at this :




and this is only one example, what do you think of what they actually do for us : What are your opinions ?

Your grammar's a little whack but I think I got what you're saying and I really think that there's nothing wrong with the situation at all. It's good for the company and it's good for the athletes, it's as simple as that.

sponsors obviously provided the latest, highest quality, personalized gear for athletes. athletes that are at the top of the sport receive salaries from sponsors, have travelling expenses, contest registration, and lodging paid for. they also replace gear if it breaks and maintain athletes' gear.

lower level athletes aren't going to receive salaries but will receive gear and have certain fees covered.

Besides that, sponsors pay for film segments to get riders more exposure, and more sponsors, which means more money and endorsements.

Also, riders will also sign into contracts with photo incentives, meaning if photographers sell shots with apparent product in it, athletes get money from that as well. The more photos they get published, the better.

it's really all about exposure. sponsors are going to sign the best, most marketable athletes that are going to get contest results and banger film segments showcasing that company's gear in a good manner. the the results, gnarlier the segments, the more exposure for athletes and companies alike.

when people see some pro guy doing crazy trick and sees those tricks, he wants those skis cuz he thinks thats what makes him pro. thats why companies sponsor athletes its good exposure

to an extent...  skiing's the easy part.  there's lots of amazing skiers out there.

what counts is the athlete's demeanor and how he or she represents a brand.. just because someone kills it on skis doesn't guarantee that he or she is marketable.

What was that line from Steele's segment in Ready, Fire, Aim?  Something like "a skier is more than the tricks they do"

exactly, but what I am saying here is that without these sponsors I don't think the sport would be where it is at this time.

So yes it's exposure for them but it is equaly bring more exposure to the sport, do you think that the FIS and Olympic committee would be looking at the sport if it wasn't where it is at the moment ?

They have broght the sport here compared to 15yrs ago.
