Thats it... the qualification round is over!!! We're now onto bracket style elimination.

Voting is tomorrow for this round.

Contestants can change their photo for today, then we will vote tomorrow. THen its 1 day of uploading 1 day of voting until the end.

ALso - entrants are not able to vote for the contest.

but this would corrupt potential new voters ;) this way its totally impartial to what the person believes is the best picture.

Hot damn, I'm impressed. Cool idea on all ends, I'm very excited to see where this goes. Kudos to the NS crew for pushing contest that really push our standards at a community and a sport. We need this.

I think you should take the comment section off so kids can't post things like 1st pic sucks or 2nd is way better. I don't want to see a participants friend trying to influence voters.

Yeah and after we change that, lets stopped presidential debates and campaigning, I wouldnt want peopele discussing ideas that might influence voters. Vote blind Vote stupid 2012!

Thanks Pippen! I think with some tweaking we could have a really, really awesome contest like this next year. Something truly big and epic.

But yeah - really happy with the participants. Honestly the level of talent is totally blowing me away!

this is by far the coolest contest for the simple reason that its pushing the sport and people in it, like pippin said.

Yeah it works really well eh?

I think we'll use this format for a lot of contests. There's a couple of tweaks to make though which will take it to the next level. I think it would be great to be able to have a checkbox where you can "subscribe" to the contest, so you get all the reminders about the rounds changing and stuff. Currently, entrants get it but not voters.

Do you guys think we should keep it so that people who enter can't vote?

The subscribe thing would be pretty dope! i often forget to go vote for round two or whatever.

as for the ppl entering i dont think they should be allowed to vote.

Its a real disappointment that I lost to a blatantly photoshopped picture, but then again I would be foolish to expect anything less out of the NS community..

Why are they allowed to change their pictures in between rounds?
Doesn't make sense.

It should be the picture you entered with is the picture that goes through the whole contest.

Well it is the best photo of the season contest so allowing them to improve their submissions each round should ultimately result in the winner being the best possible photo.

And more importantly it makes the contest more fun because there is the added suspense of whether or not the contenders will step up their game with each new round.
