Few t2i and accessories questions

i can answer 1 and 2 for you. it just doesnt let you record more then 12 mins, the battery will last longer and you can certainly get a memory card that will give you more than 12 minutes, most cameras have a limitation like that. why, maybe someone else can answer, but they do. and that tripod is a ball head, it sounds like your going to be filming with it, which makes the ball head pretty much useless. for filming, youre going to want a fluid head. google the difference.

that sounds pretty dumb about the 12 min rule. I misunderstood, i thought u can only hold 12 min on the camera at a time. it wont be a problem keeping a single vid under 12 min

2: The tripod you're looking at is good for the price, but uses a ball-head: something you only use for photography. You're gonna want a fluid head, and by far the best one for it's price out there is the Weifeng 717Ah. It's around 70$ on eBay. Even better like the Manfrotto 701HDV, which normally is considered the best in it's price range (the 717ah is half the price). Look around on ebay.

3: Yes, it's deffo worth it.
4: What do you mean by a zoom lens? Every lens that doesn't have a fixed focal length is called a zoom lens. So a 55-60mm would be a zoom lens, but that doesn't really get you anywhere. If you mean a zoom on the long end (70mm and higher), take a look at the Canon 70-200 f/4. Awesome lens. I don't know what the 80-200 runs at (the magic drainpipe), but this is the predecessor of the 70-200 and equally good. You can probably get one second hand pretty cheap...?!

when i said zoom lens, i ment something that can go further than the 18-50, the 70-200 sounds pretty awseome and cheap. thanks for some help. +K to all

Ye, the 70-200 is the best 'bang for the buck' zoom lens out there. The 70-200 f/4 is like 550$?

3. Definitely get the Tamron 17-50. I have never heard a good thing about a sigma lens and I have recently been reading great things about the tamron. Don't cheap out on your glass

k cool, is it worth to buy the tamron used. or just stay safe and buy new?

1. has been answered but yeah. fat32 prevents files bigger than 4 gb. however you can record a lot more than that

2. any tripod that cheap will suck

3. tamron 17-50 is a sweet lens. just be sure to get the NON vc version, its quite a bit sharper.'
