Helmet cams

So debating on helmet cams, I have no need for a pole mount system or anything like that, looking for a straight helmet cam, i guess my options are go pro, contour or Vio. Has anyone used the new vio? is it worth the extra $$ and is the big recording device any worse than carrying a beacon?

yo dawg, searching, helmet cam, vio and go pro doesnt come up with any compairson threads.
