Cool review but I wished you would of skied more conditions like deep powder.

Understandably so....at 95 underfoot, their really not a dedicated pow ski, but from my experience on the K2 Kung Fujas, with the same width underfoot, the Jeroninmos would do decently. Keep in mind, the above review is a 2nd follow-up, you can check out Mark Connell's initial impressions here http://blistergearreview.com/blister/?p=250 He put the skis through their paces in more soft snow than I have...

I put some more time on the JMos in pow after posting the above comment, here's what I found

That is what the rocker is for though. The early rise allows the ski to need to flex less to pivot in powder

well of course, I'm just puttin out there what I felt on this ski. The rocker on the JMo is pretty abrupt, and it makes the running length of the skis' effective edge very noticeable. That being said, I still felt like the camber underfoot is a bit too pronounced (again, this is just me, I'm not bashing here), so that making big smear turns, really throwing the ski sideways at speed, was awkward. I just think pulling out a little camber could help. I'll just say this, for an all mountain jib ski, or whatever you wanna call it, i was surprised how directional this ski felt at times

You also have to consider the intended use. The site says it's for

Pow in the morning and park after the pow is gone. Granted its not going to be able to smear turns and go sideways in pow as well as something like the caylor or hellbent. But it is going to do better on hardpavk and in the park than those skis. From what I've heard from other reviews, it is perfect for what it is intended to do, and scott af rowen have spend a lot of time finding the perfect camber/rocker shape

Fair enough man, obviously it's not gonna act like the caylor, and I never expected it to. trying to perfect an an all mountain ski is really really hard to do. After all, we all have slightly different preferences. TO ME, given that the goal is to be able to take this thing to the park, i would have expected it to react a bit more willingly to a pivot move. This thing charges very well, so in the park, its not the most forgiving ski, (ie, super buttery). Depending on the skier, that could be good or bad.

do you ski at crystal? i would love to give them a try. (probably gonna be next year because i doubt there is gonna be any more pow days)

Just FYI, for 11/12 the ski has a slightly rounder flex (bit softer underfoot mostly, ends are about the same), less camber underfoot, and the new elliptical rocker profile which isn't so abrupt. So might be some changed which you like better, though they are still going to be stiffer than most park oriented skis out there.

It is a 96 underfoot, slightly rockered, close to center mounted ski with a small turning radius, so not something that is typically going to smear, regardless of conditions. Not something we really intended for it to do.

As for stiffness, our take was there are lots of softer skis out there. We wanted something that was going to be stiffer, more demanding, and support a more aggressive skiing style than 90% of the park skis out there, and have been pretty happy with the results. It isn't never going to be as playful as a true park ski in the park, but it will certainly kick its ass outside of the park.

Anyway, detailed reviews like this are awesome to hear as they provide much more information to the builders than stuff like "yeah, its awesome, buy it, etc" so they are definitely much appreciated, even if they aren't always glowing in every aspect of the ski, so thanks! Maybe next year you can get on the newer version and see if you like some of the changes.

really excited to hear reviews of the new jeronimo. i havent always kept the jeronimo's in my head for my future skis and they just keep sounding better.

planning on killing my skis this next season, riding out my other pair and hopping onto the next jeronimo during the 12/13 season.

I dont get how any can classify there jmos as stiff. Sure they are stiffer than lets say anthems but they are i no way a stiff ski.

They are super stable and poppy but i can still butter them fine.

They aren't a stiff ski. Compared to most park skis they are stiff.

I'm with Caveman here, compared to skis with similar design goals they seem a bit stiffer to me

They just dont give me that feeling stiff skis have. They have all the pros of a stiff ski, but to me they just don't feel stiff when i have them on my feet. Dont know why.

Also i guess you are right about taking the mounting point into consideration. People also have different opinions.

This is what I like about building skis out of 100% bamboo and carbon fiber, the unique dampness and liveliness of the ski.

Can somebody compare the flex to a 181 liberty morphic, as i have no other way of truely determining the flex.
