Can you become perma-fried if you take LSD too much? Is there a limit to how many times you should take it? One of my buddies is starting to take it pretty excessively (twice a week) and I'm curious/worried if anyone else is starting to notice a change in there friends, and what kind of change.
There doesn't seem to be a set limit to the amount of LSD an individual can take, physically or psychologically. "Acid casualties" from the 60s and 70s do seem to suggest that repeated chronic use of LSD can have long term effects on your brain and your mental well being. At the same time, however, practitioners like Timothy Leary took LSD over one thousand times in their lifetime with no apparent long term physiological damage?
Perhaps what is important is less how much you take, but more how you take it. People like Leary were very careful about set and setting when taking LSD.
I'm just curious what this will do to my friend in the long run, someone fill me in with experience.

My friend's uncle took a bad tab of acid in the late 80's..... today he's still in a mental hospital with very little progress towards becoming "normal" again.... he think's he is a banana. Legit. My friend has gone to visit him only once, it's fucked... yet my friend has still done acid numerous times.. I have not... just mushrooms

Honestly man, i ate 4 tabs of white on white fluff and another prime tab of colorful blotter with some mollie at this bassnectar show at the albany armory on the 23rd, and i am still looking for the word to explain the show. It seems that everytime i take LSD i strive to find the after affects, and every single time i can't pinpoint an abnormal change in my life or my lifestyle. It was such a epic/trancy experience that i almost cryed in the middle of the show because of the flared emotions and the peak of the show. One word, INSANE. As far as this thread goes, thanks for all the input guys my buddy is doing alright. Since i posted this thread i havent noticed much of a change in him.

It's nice to see it still going.. keep the facts coming weither they are good or bad.
