i was wondering how much of a difference there was on these skis on the groomers, obviously the bent chetler is 123 mm in waist and jj 115, but i was owndering if the difference is big?
from what i have heard is that jj's are better for charging hard and slightly better on groomers. I own a pair and completely agree with this statement. Where as Bentchetlers are a little more poppy and playful.
I have the bentchetlers and I couldnt be happier with them. They are fine on the groom but I wouldnt bring them up unless there is at least a few inches of fresh on the ground. They are fine in the afternoon though once snow has been tracked out. In pow they are amazing, most fun ive ever had on a pair of skis. From what ive heard the jj's are just as fun. My friend has a pair and he has no complaints. I tried them for a run and both skis are very similar to ride. If ur goin to get one or the other id say the choice should only come down to price and availibility. Either way you go your going to end up with a great ski
I'll be most interested to see if the AK JJ's will still stay in the same category as the Bent Chetler's. 6'3 and 200lbs makes me need a "charging" ski, even if I want something playful.
