In need of ski advice

What skis should I get? I have a passion for skiing and plan on skiing 20-30 days next winter, I classify myself as intermediate-advanced. I live on the east coast (:() I usually go to mountains in pa, ny, wv season round. I am a beginner freestyle skier with a passion and urge to learn more. I ski everything except backcountry, everything except backcountry which I guess I'll rent skis for. I will probably only go out west 1-2 times a season and a session or 2 at windells on the life of these skis. plus i hear it's not a good idea to bring skis

I have narrowed down:
boots:
salomon quest 8 or 12? (good price point boot, my local shop tells me)

bindings:
marker jester

skis:
salomon 2012
k2 revival
volkl bridge

I am open to suggestions as I am new at buying gear
or should i wait for the 2012 gear to come out?

In my opinion you want:

Whatever boot fits you. Go to a good shop, get properly fitted and pay what it takes to get this done. Brand doesn't matter, advertising doesn't matter. Any shop that recommends you a good boot without fitting you first should be avoided.

A cheap park ski, for your first it probably won't make any difference which one.. if you ski rails its going to ruin any performance they would have on the groomed anyway. If you want to carve and ski trees etc, I'd recommend just getting a second pair of skis.
I'd just look in the sales going on online right now. Its almost impossible to recommend anything specific without knowing your height/weight.

Personally then I would: Go to a bootfitter and get some boots.

Go online to find the best deal on skis: Shops like:

tend to have good deals around this time of year. For someone 6ft and 140 pounds who is a relative beginner I'd go for a ski in the 175-178 cm region, with between 80-90mm waist and a soft-medium flex.
Pretty much just get what is cheap other than that. Any of the standard park skis will be fine. Domain, Afterbang, Punx, AR7. Personally I'd just get some Surface No Times from Evo though. They have had some durability problems in an older model but I doubt they'd affect someone new in the park and they are $250.
