Waterproofing spray?

hey so the waterproofing on my jacket is fading so I was thinking about getting some waterproofing spray from REI or somewhere like that.

Anyway most of the bottles I see for sale online say things like "ideal for softshell garments" or things that dont make me think they are for insulated ski jackets.

**So what im asking is, what is the best spray I can pick? will I still have breathability? Also any other things I should know to make the spray the most efficient.**

That's my recommendation. Used the stuff and it worked very well.

try calling the jacket manufacturer as they will probably have a recommendation for the product to regain the repellency. as mentioned, there's nikwax which i've used & reviewed and there's also reviveX which i've also used.

how do revivex and nikwax compare? does one hold waterproofing longer than the other?

since they are different products, they will probably have their own pros & cons depending on the material you are using it on. that's why i mentioned to call the jacket manuf as they will recommend a product that will work best on their material.

i recently used the reviveX and was happy with it since i had a jacket that's 10 years old. its a spray on and then you stick the jacket in the dryer and the spray is heat activated.

just as important, is to get a a special jacket cleaner (not Tide) & wash the jacket first. then use the application.

I was wondering if I should spray some on my afterbangs cause they're over year old and might start to water-log. Well next season... Just an idea
