holy shit philly has the most epic starting rotation of all time. can't wait. such a relaxing way to spend an evening, not to mention the atmosphere at big games is unreal. loves me a night at the ball diamond.

red sox need to stop having ridiculous rain delays, and start speeding up the games.


Got released after 2:30am last week, and had a 12:45 release tonight.

Big weekend against new york though. No doubt will bring a shit load of problems as well as 5 hour games.

last night's game was crazy, even though i lost all sense of hope as soon as we hit extra innings. 8pm espn games are the absolute worst to work.

this. whether you wanna see it or not, last night's ratings were double what espn usually gets on a sunday night. i guess the sox/twins is on espn tonight too but also going to be broadcasted on nesn here in new england. don, rem dawg and heidi ftw

so basically what you're saying is that espn should play games that they know will get lower ratings, fewer viewers, and won't bring in as much money?

I hope you're not planning on running a successful business one day with that mentality.


That said, everything about working an espn or fox game absolutely sucks. Just the 8 05pm start time on a sunday night is awful.

let him pitch his next start and hope to god he doesn't blow it. his backup is zito, and i'd rather stick with sanchez.

i was for trading him coming off last season when his value was pretty high (we could have gotten a lot for a world series champion starter with a no hitter)but now he got injured and is sucking so we probably couldn't get as much. hopefully he remembers how to throw strikes soon and we can go back to loving him.

I used to have nothing against the Giants... I still wouldn't if your team would stop being douchebags and repay the favour we gave you so you didn't have to become the Devil Rays in 1992...

Give us Santa Clara Co. back, so WE can build a stadium there. Oakland didn't pan out because theres not really any good place to put it unless we build it on land that would sink in a quake, or be too far from Bart. Fremont didn't pan out, because their city council is a bunch of idiots. We have a great option down there in San Jose, and it's even further from you guys than Oakland. Stop being cunts, give us back our land.

They are currently the Oakland A's, yes... but like I just said... there's not much land available in the East Bay for building a stadium close enough to Bart. Building a stadium in San Jose would coincide with Bart extending through to San Jose, right to the stadium.

The only reason the Giants are doing this is to be total fuckwad assholes and try to kick the A's out of the Bay Area so they could lay claim to the entire area - making them the only ticket in the bay area all summer long for the largest metro area of any one team in the country...

History lesson:

The A's gave San Jose to the Giants in 1992 so they didn't have to move to Florida... The Dodgers even pleaded the A's to keep them in town...

The Giants were thisclose to moving to San Jose on their own (Actually Sunnyvale or Mountainview - right by where the Googleplex and Shoreline ampetheatre are, but close enough lol), until they were able to garner enough votes for the Phonebooth Palace...

I wish the A's could stay in Oakland, but if San Jose is where they need to go, then fuck off, SF... give us our land back...

If it wasn't for you meddling Californians... But in all seriousness now with the Blue Jays being their parent instead of the Athletics attendance has risen to consecutive sell outs. The Jays also want to play a few exhibition games at BC Place and the Nat has a lot of room to be expanded. The owner has also said that his ultimate goal is for them to gt back their AAA status, in fact their is rumour that it all could happen by 2014. All the gears are in motion

Vancouver really should have an MLB team though... we need another team in the West anyways, right? and Seattle needs a real Northwest rival... Oakland - Seattle isn't that big of a deal... They end up just hating the Yankees and Sox up there... haha.

While I would love an MLB team in Vancouver, I would think that there would be other American cities that would be more deserving. I agree though, the PNW is in bad need of another team but that only leaves two possible cities, Vancouver or Portland.
