fuck yeah a full on pizza scrapes the shit out of a face, but i don't see skiers doing this as often as I see boarders side slipping an enitre face. skiers are more notorious for skiing from one side of the damn trail all the way to the other side, repeat, etc. (even on cat tracks and it drives me insane!!)
and shhhhhhhhh...don't tell people about skiing the edges. let's just keep that our little secret. that almost always where i ride when i'm on groomers.
as much as i agree with you, you can't honestly think most boarders with average and not well tuned boards should be able to hold deep carves on steep icy hills. it's not that easy when half your run conmsists of icy patches left by the ski racers who push the snow around before they hold the races. You also have to admit that skiiers are responsible for half of the bullshit that goes on at a mountain. At least sideslippers don't take up a whole hill unlike the sloww ass begginer skiiers that move incredibly slow and take up the whole run with their carves that go from one end of the trail to another making them hard to pass.
this. i was going down blues in less than a week. easy as shit. it sucks when you gotta go flatland pushing or get stuck on a trail and cant move.
i do have a couple friends who snowboard and they are really good. i just dont respect the guys who do the side sliding.
