K2 hellbent, need home help

Alright im looking into a powder ski. Im about 5,6 and what size should i get? Also how do you like yours? Or is there another powder ski out there thats really good. like the early rise and what not. Thanks.

Get a hellbent if you have something else to ski on days were it is less than 2ft deep. I have a 185 jj and it could be skied every day without a problem. Don't get an obsethed either, it's a sick pow ski but I have a few friends who have it and they say it has serious trouble on groomers. If you have the cash the volkl katana is a really sick all mtn./pow ski.

hellbents ski just fine on the groomers man. i havent skied the new fatter ones, but i rode the old ones in every condition until they broke. they were a pretty kick ass ski. the on3p caylor is better in every way though.

to the OP: you should get 179's.

179 if you charge hard. If you are still growing and not the strongest skier get the 169

the obsetheds are a strict powder ski. on hardpack/groomers, you have about a foot and a half of usable edge. BUT still amazing for powder

NNNNNNOOOOOOO. you have to remember that the hellbent has mass amounts of rocker and only a fraction of the ski is actually in contact with the ground when not skiing pow.

^yeah but it's good to keep in mind also that a 169 hellbent actually measures to like 177 if you check it with a tape measure. my buddy is 5'6 and doesn't have any trouble charging on the 169, and it's short enough that you can actually do some tricks too if that's your thing. i'd recommend the shorter length.

The new hellbent is stupid. Way to big of a ski, they increased the dimensions by 10mm everywhere, stupid imo. I would get the 179's they ski short, like REALLY short. If you're dead set on getting the new model remember that as of this year k2 finally measures their skis correctly, aka 4cm shorter than previous years meaning my 189 bents are actually 194's but this years 189 bents are more like 189.

They are soft, too soft imo. Why are you so dead set on the hellbent?

Obsethed and Hellbents are both fucking noodles. They are mushy as mashed potatoes. I demoed them and ttok them on groomers and they just sucked. But on the other hand, I prefer a stiffer ski.

I was skiing 2 weeks ago and a guy had them there and was in the park, and said there an amazing ski to have. I like the early rise and rocker and what not.

dude my friend skis on this years seths and says the do just fine on hardpack. also i dont know if this matters but he skis park on them and learned double kinks
