you really dumb fo real. the Maiden AK was around long before the hellbent and thats just in K2's lineup. and the lizzies? they're park skis that are just short and fat. get learned.
To the "first jibby rockered pow skis" comment, Pep was riding on rockered AK's before the release of the Hellbent. And, have you ever ridden the lizzies? doubt it. unless you're a 5'2" woman who weighs 100lbs they straight suck in the powder. Hardly revolutionary.
I own lizzies.......... so yea. They may not kill the pow, but they definitely gave way to the fat soft pow ski. Pollard used the Lizzie as his pow ski, then made the Bacon and then the EP. No need to get your panties in a bunch. And were rockered AK's released to the public? No they were not. It seems like the Hellbent came out and then other fat, rockered, jib skis started popping up. Why you mad bro?
Maybe they aren't revolutionary, but they are a benchmark in ski history. Yes there are more revolutionary skis, but these have their spot. When you think of fat, rockered, jib pow ski what do you think of? Hellbents and EP's. EP's grew from lizzies.
"Go big or go Goth with the Line Elizabeth Alpine Ski. Eric Pollard, one of the first skiers to take switch skiing to big mountain pow, thought it would be sweet to make a ski that rides like a snowboard in extra-deep fluff. With Line's help, he created the Elizabeth. This fat ride utilizes a snowboard-like sidecut and Line's Real Twintips, where the tip and tail are raised to equal heights, for confidence-inspiring switch skiing and landing. The symmetric flex and geometry, also borrowed from snowboards, provides the same feel and responsiveness whether you're riding forward or backward. Slantwall construction lends a smooth, forgiving feel to the Elizabeth, making it far more manageable than its waistline might suggest. The fatty base and edge provide added durability to this 139/110/137mm monster. Line's Quickmount Six Pack binding-mounting inserts let you move your Reactor bindings from centered for spinning to back for deep, deep fun with the twist of a screwdriver."
The only thing that comes to mind is the K2 Obsethed 169.
Why you ask? It's one of the only powder ski's I've seen that is so versatile. All mountain/Powder/Park/Pipe. it works in all 4. Mind you it may not be the absolute BEST pipe/park ski, but in my personal opinion it was really really fun. It took jumps very well and jibs were an absolute dream, no balance required when its like 115 under waist. Many might disagree but I think this is a ski anyone can buy even if you don't shred pow on the daily, and still have tonnes of fun!!
there are probably 100 skis that match the exact description you just provided.
and to KNUCKLES,
when the question being asked is "What are the most revolutionary powder skis made?" the answer is neither the hellbents nor the lizzies. that's all i'm saying.
wow some of you guys are dumb as rocks. hellbents? lizzies? are you shitting me? the spatula is the only answer to this question. or you could argue the chubb. show mcconkey some respect and educate yourselves
