Alright so i am in the market for new park skis.
INFO:
6 foot 165
live in the midwest so 65% rails 35% Jumps
Would like to spend less than 400
Need to be super durable
Preferably from backcountry but skis.com (my local shop) or evo gear would also work
Skis i have been looking at
Stepups which are on sale at backcountry for 340
Reno Jibs which are on sale at evo for 377
or any other recommendations
Durability is key
+K for god responses!

if its strictly durability go with any mentioned skis + s4
but the s4 may be too stiff for you or something. give a few more details

Maybe Faction, but I cant say I've stumbled across many reviews of that ski. I think those or Reno Jibs, depends on condition and price.

both would be new.. the only problem is the longest length i can get teh factions in is 173, and the moments would be 181

i would go with the moments the time i rode the reno jibs they were real fun to ride real smooth on rails i thought. i feel like that would be a good ski. the stepups are fun but i didnt really like the way they rode for some reason the flex on them was wierd i thought but everyone has there own skis they like.

Chronic Crypts maybe? medium flex, somewhat poppy, evo has them for 398 (this years model) or 389(last years model).

I'd say Moments then, 173 is way too short.

They are durable skis. Not the best skis but damn durable. And cheap.

Well,
I have destroyed 2 pairs of ar7s, gotten a ton of edge cracks, rockerd them, decambered them and snapped them both in 40 days each. Arent they supposed to be durable?
No ski is super durable, some are more than others. And afterbangs and stepups are both quite durable skis. As i said not the best but quite durable.

if you rockered out your ar7's, should't you have powder skis with your stepups?

I dont have stepups. Not my style of ski. I did find abangs very fun tho, but they are not the ski for me.
But i do have quite a few friends with step ups and abangs and they are very happy with them.
