wrx wagon, wrx, cherokee, grand cherokee 4.0L, vibe awd (cuz its an awd toyota matrix), legacy, forester 2.5xt

no specific order just based on reliability functionality fuel economy and cool factor not in that order

i would like to think im pretty informed about cars in general- unless your parents will foot the bill for repairs without ? stay clear of luxury cars and german cars all together

no. German cars are awesome and hold their values unlike a fucking jeep. They also rarely have problems (IMO) and when they do its simple computing errors that any retard with a computer can fix.

i never said they werent awesome. as a matter of fact i would tend to agree with you that they are awesome however if you are talking about a used car lets say less than 20 grand i am fairly confident that the matrix, forester, legacy, and wrx's have much better resale value not to mention they are more reliable than any german car. go price a head gasket on an a4 then check it on a legacy... the repair argument is completely dependent on where u live and how often they work on those types of cars. jeeps are sweet and tough and thats why i listed them like i said there was no order.i wish i could have an s4 or an m3 maybe one day....

jeeps are piece of crap. I would never buy a jeep. They are big cars but feel small as shit on the inside. Get AWFUL fuel mileage even in smaller models. Who the fuck cares about off roading whne most people dont do that. All i want is to be ablet o drive in snow good. and tere american and break down.

They are not bombproof, have you heard any jeep running and driving when its over 5 or 6 years old? A few of my friends of jeeps and they are total shit, yes they mY look good, but the components are pretty garbage.

i have a 1997 grand cherokee with 220000 and its never left me stranded. i paid 1500 for it and its worth that 4 years later. i have at least 5 friends that either have jeeps now or have had them and they all beat the livin shit out of them and they always keep running. its a running joke as to how they wont ever leave you stranded the 4.0l inline 6 is an awesome motor known for reliability i would never buy a 4.7 v-8 in a grand cherokee bc i would never want to have to work on one... even tho they are the most powerful midsize suv ive ever drove with the exception of the trailblazer ss and ive never got to drive a srt-8 either for that matter

The 4.0L I-6 is an amazing engine. The Dana 44 or Chrysler 8.25 are both solid rear ends on the XJ's as well. The kryptonite of that rig is the slip yoke driveshaft/output shaft on the NP231 T-Case which is an easy fix. I had one for 6 years and loved it, so much that I still can't get myself to sell it even though I just bought a new subie. The gas mileage on that thing did hurt though. I love jeeps... yotas too, especially the pre 1986 4wd's with the 22r or 22re's.

I agree that their Inline 6 is quality, but the v8 in my opinion is far from quality. And the trannys on the ones around 2005 arnt that amazing either.

the kryptonite on an xj is that its an xj, its a unibodied suv with a decent engine, its weak parts, unibody and overall low build quality arent made up for by an alright motor.

we never should have put a new motor in my moms...

cummins international makes the cummins, its the 6bt in the pickups, easily a 500k+ mile motor

fords powerstroke is made by navistar international, although as of the 2011 model year ford has assumed production of their diesel engines.
