Feedback on my first edit!

Now i realize the skiing isn't really up to par with all the punk NSers who think they're better than everyone else, but it's just me and some of my buds out messing around with my GoPro at various locations. I'd really like some feedback on the editting. I use sony vegas 9, and really just used faders and velocity changes to edit it. i know the shots where i blew it up in slowmo came out like shit, i was just messing around.

Holy shit that lip on to that rail was so fucked up. You already said it but the slo mo looked really choppy. I also thought you should do something about the lighting. I haven't done a ton of editing but from a skiing perspective, try to pick up your knees while jumping, it looks alot better imo.

on your spins, your throwing your shoulders back and not using your arms to set and that is making you get back. make sure you come off the jump with forward pressure in your boots and not to throw your shoulders back. I also noticed at 0:39, you could of easily brought that to kfed. just keep your rotation going!

ya otherwise, try adjusting your levels using the color curves effect. I find it is easier to slow down your clips by holding ctrl and dragging the clip from behind.

yay coach jeremy. But yeah.

As for the filming/editing portion, if you going to slow down shots as much as you did and get it to still look smooth then you are going to need something like twixtor to create your slow motion. there where also a lot of shots that you repeated the same trick or a crash on the same trick and it just made it look a bit more amateur (no hate). you could also get closer when filming with you gopro because it does have a really wide angle fisheye.

appreciated. i've had some issues with my spinning as of late, i only get to ski every couple of weekends so progressing and maintaining my tricks can be an issue!

haha it was amateur because i am amateur! i know you're not hating i appreciate the feedback. my little bro did most of the filming, which is why all the shots of me are so far away. is twixtor free?

It was a nice edit, slo-mo was choppy, but otherwise the opening was really nice. I don't really know anything for the skiing perspective because can't do shit, but ya nice,

I liked this edit.. my only suggestion is to use different angles/ perspectives for consecutive shots. like when you were sliding the rails with the gopro spread them out because sometimes it looked like the same shot over and over or like a jump cut... thats my only criticism so good job!

I liked it personally, the slow-mo was a little choppy and the colors could of been better, but for a first edit it was very nice
