Quick stupid easy photo question.

Not big into photography but heres a quick question.

I just ordered one of these:

Im wanting to shoot some biking, I'd like to have this thing go off wirelessly. Do I need to get a hot shoe of some sort?

if you ordered 1, then yes you will need a wireless trigger, if you ordered 2, then they have a slave mode, but the 460's don't like to fire unless they have perfect line of sight to one another

This. Your best bet would be pocket wizards or something of that style because then it uses radio frequency and can be hidden anywhere instead of having to be in the line of sight.

I have some ebay shite triggers... I wanna say they're yongnuos and I've got no complaints so far. They fire about 95% of the time and work with reasonable ranges (havent tried to push their limits though) and for like 30 bucks on ebay you cant beat the price

I think those are the ones. A friend of mine has the Cactus ones and hates them... but I'm pretty sure the yongnuos are actually reasonable for closer range stuff

dont get pt04s get the rf-602's or cybersyncs if you are really willing to shell out the cash but not quite at Pdub level.

haven't really tried to go beyond around 50 ft yet... but i remember having some older ebay ones (yongnuo as well but different) that used to consistently work up to 200 ft and then some... until they broke, for no reason at all. But for the price, it doesnt bother me that much having to buy new ones once a year or so.
