So.
I just need a simple list of the best video editting stuff out there. I always here people talk about different programs and what not. I just wanna know what you use (and why) and if you like it. I'm on Mac btw.
The ones I know are:
- Sony Vegas
- Final Cut
- Adobe Premiere
Those 3 seem to be the main things. But like, what do they do? Is it only arranging the movie? As in cutting/pasting etc, or is it also deinerlacing, color grading, blablabla. Like, are they programs that can used alone (without the help of other programs, plugins don't count) to make awesome videos.
Let's make it a bit more personally. What does our beloved eheath use for video editting?

I use FCP. You can do pretty much anything you want in FCP, adobe after effects is better for more complicated effects but i mean if you have a mac, FCP is a given, torrent final cut studio 3 and enjoy.

Ok cheers.
I'm downloading final cut pro 7 atm. Is final cut studio better/easier?
I mean, I'm just starting out, so a more basic interface (similar to the higher end one) would maybe be nice to start of with? I got after affects as well, but is that for color correction stuff as well?
I'll just download final cut studio+pro and we'll see where it goes from there!

yeah fcp 7 is part of fcs 3.
You can do all the color correction you need in fcp. Magic bullet looks is a plugin for fcp that is a little more intensive.
