Andy Parry WITH poles?

I have recently noticed that Andy Parry has been using poles in the more recent TC episodes. Is this anything to do with Line's new GRAB TABS or has he just switched back for another reason?

No one cares who skis with poles and why. Maybe because he didn't like getting stuck and looking like a snowboarder.

Park poles are so fucking short anyway, they are practically useless.

this. I can understand why you want poles of a normal length for skiing groomers, and especially for charging. If I end up riding bigger lines without poles that can get a bit uncomfortable. I can even understand if you use slightly shorter poles and want to ski park. I find them annoying but if you don't fair play to you.

But what I can't understand is why people use these 60-70cm poles for park, They don't do anything! You can't even reach the ground. I'm not hating, I just can't see the point. Someone explain?

This. I see kids with their arms at their sides holding their poles like pens and they don't touch the ground. Its crazy!

My poles touch the ground when my arm is straight, and my hand hand holds the top like a joystick (hence the name) but I like 'em for little feelers in case I over/under rotate a trick, and I can jab the stick into the opposite side and ride away clean.

big poles and park skiing are sketchy man. I used to have big poles and ended up planting a pole into my face knocking out 6 teeth. I'd say a lot of people started with longer poles until they realized they just get in the way when it comes to spinning

if they don't even touch the ground with your arms straight that seems a little silly to me. but if you land switch sketchy, and your big-ass pole digs into the snow, your shoulder won't be feeling too good.

for me i use poles in the park just because no poles feels so awkward. i've been skiing with poles for so long it just feels natural. and short poles give you the best of both worlds, you can use them to get that little bit of extra speed coming into a jump or rail and they are short enough to not get in the way

This. and you should try it out just take like 5 laps without poles.. it feels weird but at the end it starts to feel awesome and feels like you're better without them.

I like to ditch my poles about half the time just for the freedom feeling, it's awesome.
