if your riding a 6 or 6.5 din binding, a 16 din binding would be absolutely ridiculous for you. A 16 din binding has a minimum setting of about 10 (give or take i don't really know marker bindings that well) and you never want to go too much over your recommended din, for the obvious reason of not ejecting when necessary, ie. ragdolling with skis still attached would lead to some pretty unpleasant times. Also if your asking for a light binding (which is another retarded thing because binding weight doesn't effect swing weight) you shouldn't be getting a 16 din binding with metal in it.
sparknotes: 16 din = too much, results in death of your knees
16 din also = unnecessary weight
