Prices on tickets to hood?

Alright so I live in NJ and im going to mhssc in june. I still haven't bought my tickets but the price for them right now is like $500 wtf... My friend who went last year says he bought his tickets for $300. Will the price get lower or will it only rise as june approaches? Is there some sort of shit going on right now that's making tickets more expensive?

the conflict in the middle east is decreasing the supply of oil, which is creating huge cost increases (over 100 million annually). unfortunately, they will not decrease

there was a conflict in the middle east last year too.... Plus tickets to other places have pretty decent prices right now

Found tickets for upper 300s on studentuniverse.com. Not a great price, but still saves you a benjamin.
But the longer you wait, the more it gets.

more people are traveling in the summer, and thus there is a greater demand for tickets, so airlines charge more. in april, there is not as much demand for tickets from the ec to bend (or whatever the airport is), and airlines cant charge as much
