So I am going to get my passport this month. I know Canada has some things where they may not allow entry for a DUI. Now, I am going to Berlin, what are the chances they will deny me access for a DUI from about four years ago? The actual charge is not DUI, it is DWAI. I also have a few little minor misdemeanors. Does anyone on here know anything about this? I know NS may not be the best place to seek this information, but I figured I would try. Thanks ,
I really doubt that is the case. It's not like I will have VISA and they will know all kinds of information. A Passport seems to be a little more limited information.
I think it should be OK, normally the EU is pretty lax about getting in and out, in contrast to the US.
It's more of an issue if you are applying to work or live in the EU, then they do a cursory background check, and also ask for statements from the police in your own country that you have not been convicted of any serious crime.
Thanks, I am just going for a month or two. I am not looking to work or move their as of yet. I may later down the road (my girlfriends parents are from EU). Thanks for the reply.
