Windells

I think that I am going to Windells second session this summer and i had some questions. First off are the kids their nice and if i can only do like 5's and k feds will i be good enough? Finally is it worth all the money?

No one cares how good you are there, everyone is so stoked to be skiing in the summer that they couldn't give a fuck. You may get shit on in this thread though, just sayin. PS- you will be a lot better than a good amount of the kids there.

Not to be a total dick, seeing as how Evolve Chile runs a filthy camp, but essentially doubling the cost of the camp simply to get there is a tall order to fill for most people (unless they have their parents paying for the whole thing).

Prior to what a majority of people on this site assume not every single camper at windells is loaded or the people who helped get them there. A few of my favorite campers had been saving for two years working endless shifts to save up enough money just for one session. I am not trying to start a fight but seriously that is a bit of an exaggeration that if you can afford windells you can afford Evolve.

Especially when the flight alone to chile is getting close to double the cost of windells.

Once again no hate towards any camp, but please stop (this is to a large portion of ns not just mr. K_M) the generalization that everyone who goes to windells is a rich snobby white kid.

I guess locality matters, and dates.

Seattle to Santiago is $2000, and $150 to pdx (train only 100).


I'm sticking to my guns here. Spending $3000-$4000 for 7-9 days of skiing is retarded, be it in North America, South America, etc.

i definitelly wanna go to windells cuz i only get about 12 ski days during the season. also i am not paying for it personally, but yet I get to go because I got straight A's at a tough ass high school. I dont understand why people hate on kids whose parents pay.

Last hit on the dead horse: you can find flights for around 350 from Newark to PDX, in July. Couple that with maybe MHSSC cost and you're looking at a camp, with trans., that is as expensive as a plane ticket to SA alone.

im just at prep school and its fun but i cant ever ski and i work my ass off even though im only a freshman. my parents promised me tons of stuff if i went there. basically windells is the only promise their keeping which im more than stoked about,

Any ski camp will be good for you. Regardless of level, you will progress a ton

the kids aren't nice. they're a bunch of entitled dicks who think they're sick because they wear skinny jeans, tall tees, and flatbrims

at least that was my experience encountering windells kids. nobody's as bad as the high cascade kids though, they're ultimate homos

what school do you go to? I go to boarding school too and its not that hard freshman year... 6 day school weeks tend to kill the season though.

This. High cascade kids try to be better than each other...windells is soo chill...but it's all based on how you treat others..if u sit back and be chill with everyone no one is gonna hate on you...you try to show off and be an ignorant bitch everyone will hate you
