Heres a drum set I recently refinished... aniline dye, sanding sealer, and a bunch of finishing coats. Turned out decently.
And right now I'm rebuilding my reef tank.
Heres the acrylic overflow box I built. It feeds to a second "sump" tank below the display tank. The sump is where all the equipment is kept to keep the display tank distraction free, so you can focus on the fish, corals, etc.
I took this just after finishing with the woodwork. I'm going to stain it with black aniline dye, so it should come out like the drumset, but all black. (as much as I would like to do a blue green fade, I feel like it would distract from the actual tank...)
Heres a photo of the whole thing when I first set it up 3 or 4 years ago just for reference. I set it up in 9th grade I think? I'm a freshman in college now so my craftsmanship has definitely gone up. here you can see the sump/ main tank thing. The plumbing is going to look a lot cleaner now too...
Oh and heres a box kite me and my sister built. Were gonna build a bigger one this summer, and put a go pro on it.
