Replying to Learning how to control your nerves!!?
I've been having real trouble lately trying to learn some new tricks. When I'm standing on the top of the run and looking at the jump, the nerves just get the better of me. I always get so fucking nervous, especially if the jump is a bit on the larger size. I usually practice all my tricks in the backcountry and in the pow first, but I still don't feel that confidence boost when I take it to the park. I'm so afraid of falling hard and getting hurt (I know it sounds silly, no pain no game, right?), but it's just that I wish I could relax more when I'm trying to learn new things, you know? Would be nice if someone shared some tips or ideas on how they might handle a situation like this. Would be much appreciated.
