Step one: CLEAN YOUR SHOE!!! it would suck to have dirty toungs right?
I highly recommend using a Mr. clean Magic eraser

Step Two: cut your toung, i just used scissors and it worked well
Be sure to leave some extra fabric to fold over and sew like this:
Im garbage at sewing if you cant tell
Step Three: cut the lace holes(?) off
In my case i needed to take some layers of material out so i could fold over and sew
Step Four: Lace everything with a shoe lace (going around the toung) then sew lace holes to the toung

Step Five: Cover the back with some sort of material (i used a old pillow case)
Be sure to put it close to your boot, mark where the cables are and then cut, After cutting sew the outside newly cut fabric to the shoe like this.
When i finished this is what i ended up with

Take your time
Get creative
Use a larger sized show (i used a old size 6 show and i find it looks short)
