i'd play the shit out of world of warcraft if a) the people weren't pathetic and strange, nerdy human beings, and b) there were no consequences to playing (like loss of social life, physical fitness, eyesight, education, money, etc etc)

great game, lots of fun. cost is too high. it's the kind of game where you pretty much have to play for at least 8 hours a day to be at least somewhat competitive and really experience all it has to offer, so it basically turns you into a worthless sack of shit and makes you love it. destroys lives..

which is why i play games like call of duty now. it's simple, fun, and you get bored of it after like an hour. run around, shoot some shit, leave. the whole addiction factor isn't really there like it is in some other games, which is really what we need. temporary entertainment without the sacrifice.

but thats the problem, there is always something more. part time job, social life, going to the gym. all of these things will benefit your life. raiding does not. you get a few cool purps here and there and that's the extent of it. and lets face it, raiding doesn't just end at 4 hours a night. you're all stoked on your dailies, dungeons, a little pvp, it's more like 7pm-12am, minimum, when you're raiding and still trying to do a few other things to keep up with everyone else. so just think of what else you could be doing in the time you're hanging with nerd nation and trolling trade or trying to get OMG DECKED IN EPICS as if that shit actually matters..
