Worst Non-Broken Bone or Bruise/Injury You've Had.

Mine would have to be this bruise. This was about 3 years ago. I had been hitting the biggest jump at my local mountain the day before, it was fine and I could make the landing perfect every time, not overshooting and not knuckling out, but only if I bombed from the top of our terrain park. So the next day, I was there with my friends, and they wanted to hit it. I said I had hit it the day before, and they wanted me to hit it first, so I was like alright. What I didn't know, was that the park crew had shortened up the landing and raised the lip a little. I over shot the entire landing, and I freaked out. In mid air my right ski came of, and at that point, I didn't even try to land it. My left ski landed under my right thigh, and I broke my brake off with my leg, Not the normal part of the brake that comes off, I snapped the metal part off with my leg. I went in, looked at it and it was just red. I stopped skiing because I could'nt even walk on that leg, and when I got home, It looked like this:

^^^ That is nasty. Mine was this year. I landed straight on my shoulder after a terrible front 2 off attempt. Haha, basically I didnt do any park for the rest of the day and had about 5 weeks of physical therapy until I could lift again. And about 3 weeks until I could ski park again.

Kidneys, splein, liver failing. 15 extra pounds of fluid floating around in my stomach so much bile and acid released into my stomach dealt with the worst pain for like 1 week

i was hitting a 40ft urban rail and I lost control right when i got on. Leaned a little too far back and fell off. That's not the worst part tho. This rail had hella ridges going down and since i fell of right at the beginning, i fell into these ridges and fucked my knee up real bad.

I had a bruise just like that for about a month. It was my first year park skiing and I just couldn't do rail. Kept nailing my thigh on it. It was crazy, and huge

charging into the pipe first hit about 9 feet my feet hit the deck then i was flipped as i was falling to the bottom landed on my head/neck. injury 4 month concussion in a dark room for a month minor whiplash to the neck and then bruised heel. it sucked

I had a bruise about 2x that size, same spot. Became a fat hematoma. Already had a big bruise there from a couple falls, then, on a windy day, hit the wall of a channel gap square on the bruise. Oh man that was painful for weeks.

Im gonna make my long story relatively short.

street skated. security got called. put skates in backpack. got on bike. rode bike very fast away. security was on our tail. tried to lose them by cutting down a long mellow staircase. went too fast. last stair was the last thing i remember. flew over an entire sidewalk and grassy area (total of id say 10 feet at least). hit rock with face. fractured cheek bone. blacked out. got up. biked home. never got caught.

Yeah dude do you have like a dent there now? I do. My doctor (while I was having a sports physical) said that I killed the cells or something there so it won't grow back.
Hurt like a bitch when I hit that spot now.

My injury still affects me today...right now as I am looking at my screen and typing this.


Short story:
It was May 2003, just a week or so before my 12th birthday.
I was playing outside with a couple of friends. I was standing behind a big bush and all of the sudden I felt a terribly sharp pain on my left eye.
What happened? One of my friends threw this massive chunk of gravel tile (still have it somewhere...it was huge) through the bush not knowing I was there.

The gravel tile had severely damaged my cornea and made a cut under my eye. Blood was pouring out of that cut in bucket loads, and I wore a white shirt making it even more dramatic. What followed were months in which I had to receive terrible eye-drops that could paralyze your face if you gave a drop too much and a lot of visits to the hospital.

As of today my cornea is still fucked up, it’s like a mountainous landscape leaving me with a vision of max 40% in my left eye.

Either pebbles imbedded in my head from a fall at my school or a rash that lasted two weeks after i gto towd in by a snowmobile doing 25 try to tail tap 3 a tree and fall and bounce. Shit hurt hella bad

cut my leg open mountain biking. cut was 4 inches wide x 2 inches and down to my shin bone. you could see bone and muscle tissue, missed an artery by 1/4 inch

Back in February, I overshot a pillow jump in the trees at Kicking Horse, ended up wrapping my self around a tree.
Got a huge contusion on my left leg. The bruising was the worst I've ever had, along with the crazy amount of swelling (could barely fit into my pants).
*Medical fact: When you break a bone, you don't feel the bone break, you feel the tissue that surrounds it tear. In my case with the contusion, I heavily damaged and banged that tissue, was pretty close to a break.

That's my leg 2 days after the crash. I kept skiing on it all week, which didn't really help. The bruising and swelling fluctuated through out the time of the injury (2-3 weeks).
It went straight purple, as in my whole leg was purple. The bruising moved down my leg because of gravity. Once all of it got to my foot, my foot swelled up huge, causing terrible pain.
There was a terrible outcome if I didn't ice it constantly, which would lead to surgery to remove some stuff and all that jazz.

got a concussion, chipped a few teeth.

but personally, skiing, i have not really gotten hurt, other then the casual bail or mini concussion i got at the beginning of this year... doing a 180 on flat skiing really fast, skis came off boots hit the ground, helmet came off and then the back of my head hit the snow. took me a minute to gather myself, but i think thats my worst bail. i need to huck more....

long story short, jumped on a soccer ball a tore all the ligaments in my right ankle aside from my achilles tendon. I now have weird bumps on the bone which I assume is scar tissue.

Either one of my hip dislocations, the time I sprained my neck and got knocked out, the time I was deep frying a pretzel and my friend scared the shit out of me causing me to poor 450 degree fryer grease over 40% of my hand, or the time I got clothes-lined riding my bike and went head first into the cement and broke out my front teeth...

I straightlined into some kind of skier cross knolls, not even big, ski caught on the first knoll, I jump off the second one with one ski and the other one sticking out sideways in the air, landed directly on my hip on the third knoll which was a six foot gap and I went like three feet high, anyways I rolled into the ditch off the side of the run and knocked the wind out of myself and I thought I cracked it, I couldn't really walk normal for the next two days

Tore my labrum and part of my rotator cuff skiing. My shoulder would pop out doing just about anything, which left me with tons of pain for several days after a dislocation. Physio didn't help so I ended up getting surgery. The surgery helped for about two months once I was able to have fun again, but now my shoulder is starting to pop out and lock up again, with crazy pain. I hate joint injuries.

Either slicing my knee open to the bone on a rusty nail/board combo, or getting 5 teeth pulled. The teeth didn't hurt as much as they freaked the fuck out of me. One tooth broke the pliers they use to pull them out. Then that same tooth shattered, so I had stiches in my mouthfor a month or so. Teeth suck

dumpster diving when my house was being remodeled when i was little. stepped on a board with a big rusty nail sticking out of it and it went right through my foot. had to have my brother pull it out and i couldnt walk for about a week er two
