took the point of a football directly in the right testicle. warming up for a game, i threw a pass to a receiver on a slant or some shit. turned around to talk to my coach for a second, turned back around just as the kid threw it back at me. didn't even see it coming, collapsed to the ground for a solid 3 minutes.

grade 3 shoulder separation fucking around on the way down to the terrain park. tore so many ligaments. didn't hurt initially, just felt out of place. also hit my head fairly hard. the second i got the the park the burning ensued. also felt sick to my stomach now my shoulder looks like this

That happened to my roommate a few months ago. Hers ruptured before she went to the hospital, and apparently she almost died. She's got some pretty crazy looking scars from the surgery, too.

when i got my spinal tap, it was fucking horrible, the nurse practitioner did it pretty bad and it hurt, then the doc did it the second time and it was almost as shitty

a shoulder separation deals with the AC joint, connecting your collarbone to you shoulder. a grade three separation essentially means that i tore all the ligaments holding this joint together. the sports doctors decided it would heal better and faster if left as is, so now, my collarbone just floats around up there.

smacked a curb face first going ~25mph longboarding. Pretty much blew up all of the inside of my ear/broke my hip/real bad concussion/ to bone contusions. I was in shock so I just hopped right back up and the wait at the ER was 3 hrs so I didnt feel like waiting. Ended up sleeping (aka laying there all night) on my floor because I didnt wanna get blood in my bed. Come to the next morning and realize that my arm was literally fused to the rug. by far THE worst pain I have ever been in having to rip it off.. immediately threw up once I finally did it then went straight back to the hospital. 2 days later I forgot to take off my bandages and they fused into my arm for a second time, lets just say I cried when I realized what I had done. Ive broken tons of bones and none of them even come close to that accident

They shoved cotton balls soaked in some sort of pain killer down into my jaw line/up into my cheek area through the holes when I got dry sockets.

On the week of my 19th birthday, I had a series of fucking insane migraine-like attacks that just about did me in. I say migraine-like because I've had a few migraines before, and this wasn't even in the same ballpark. Lasted a couple days, came in waves.

Day 1

Just chillin w/ some homies about to go longboard the U, I start getting this gnar headache right in the front of my dome. Friend's dad was a Dr. and had some of those dissolvable migraine pills. Took those and they kinda worked, so I went back home to rest it off. Thought maybe I just smoked too much or something.

Day 2

Make it fine until about 4 o'clock, then the headache starts again. Homey gave me some more migraine pills to take home, so I popped another one. Go chill on my bed, but its not working at all. Feels like theres an alien try to bore out from brain. Grit it out for an hour or so then it begins to taper off.

At this point I realize somethings not quite right, hit up my pops to tell him I was feelin' shitty, when mid-convo, the fucking devil comes roaring in. Crumple to the floor in a ball of pain, and tell my dad I need to get to the Instacare or something (didn't think it was ER worthy.) Surprisingly he was already there, and tells them Im coming in. Told my roommate to grab the keys and lets get the fuck out of here. So off we go into what will be the most excruciating car ride of my life. Every bump, sound and noise was a jackhammer right between the eyes. Im making some fucked up moaning/sobbing noise, curled in a ball in the front seat of car, roomy thinks hes watching me die. Get to the Instacare, and they throw me on an IV right away. Jackhammers stop, and they take my vitals. Can't find anything wrong, so they give me some Ibu's and send me on my way.

Get back to my parents place at like 7, and go straight to the couch. Im not feeling great, but Lucifer has withdrawn his pitchfork for now. Manage to fall asleep since my body was completely wasted, but it wasn't going to last long. Hour or so passes before it starts again. Wake up in a flash of pain, the fires of Hell have officially been unleashed on my frontal lobe. Couple minutes of writhing and sobbing 'til the 'rents decided its ER time. Another terrible car ride, and we get to the ER. Have to get wheeled in because I cant even see, let alone stand. The receptionist spots me from the door and knows its bad. They get me back into a curtained room, take my vitals and throw me on an IV again.

Not doing anything.

Im sure it sounded like there was an exorcism going on in there. At this point they figure its best to get me my own room, they shut all the lights off and shut the doors. I start uncontrollably vomiting because the pain is so bad, the Dr. decides its Morphine time and hooks up a drip. What glorious thing Morphine drips are, let me tell ya. It kicks in, and I turn into a ball of mush, the devil has been expelled. They keep me overnight to make sure everything's okay, and I went home the next day, right as rain. Doctors couldn't ever diagnose what exactly was wrong with me. They thought it might be Cluster Headaches, which some experts say is the most painful condition known in medicine, but I never had any prior symptoms, and I have never had an episode like that since.

Devil was boring out my frontal lobe. ER. Morphine drips. No diagnosis. Fine since.

Few years back, I tore the ligament in my wrist mountain biking. Went for surgery a couple years after. End result was a plate in my wrist (still there) and two pins going into my wrist to hold it all in place. To make a long story short, I gained movement in my arm after switching casts (wasn't allowed). The movement caused friction in my wrist, and the pins began to move around and wiggle in my bones. This caused a nasty infection. I'm taking forest green puss and goo coming out of the two pin holes. I emitted myself into the hospital and stayed there for the night on IV. The infection was terrible. End result, pins came out early and the surgery was a failure. My wrist bone still moves around like crazy, grosses people out.

Most pain I've even inflicted on myself was last year. First, I smashed my thumb with a hatchet chopping kindling for the fire. This blew open my thumb nail, slowly and painfully, I had to pull the dead bits of nail off to prevent an ingrown nail. Upon the final bits of nail to pull off came the bed of it all (the white have circle at the base). I pulled it off at work, it was still healthy, but had to come off. I clenched my jaw, and just pulled. It took about 30 seconds. After enduring the worst thing I ever purposely put myself through, I had to sit down before I passed out.


And that's the end of that chapter.

I can't really remember it but when I was about 5 or 6 when I was living in michigan, I lived across the street from this park where we would all go to play baseball and shit. One day, we were playing baseball and I was assigned the pitcher which seemed like a really bad idea but I was little at the time and I didn't know right from wrong. Anyways, I was a little to close to the batter (my older sister) and she went to swing and the bat came back and nailed me in the dome. Gave me a nice big gash in my head near my eye. I was bleeding a lot and all that stuff and screaming like I was dying. It hurt.

ive stepped in glass bare foot when i was younger and i remember driving to the hostpital with my white shirt wrapped around it which quickly turned red.

like 2 days ago i go basically jousted by a tree that was pointing straight up the hiil (literally straight, so i couldnt see it, it all of the sudden just pwnd me). it hit me so hard i puked right after and later peed blood. i went to the hospital in whistler then was transported by ambulance to the hospital in vancouver. it went so far into my abdominal that it bruised my kidney (luckily i didnt tear it).

when i think about it i got really lucky, any higher and my ribs wouldve been fucked, if i didnt have a coat or if i wasnt turning when i ran into it i think i coulve easily been impaled.

it hurt pretty bad but not as much as you would think. tylenol or i wouldnt be able to sleep and it wont be healed for like 2 weeks

when i was 19, i broke both of my arms at the same time through bmx, not the best way to start the summer...

I have broken bones, undergone a few surgeries, been gassed, tazed, pepper sprayed, had the shit beaten out of me. The most painful moment of my life was following a 20mile in 4.5 hours with a ruck. There was no part of my body that was not in terrible pain. Bones hurt, muscles ached, the pain signals were terrible.

long stories are for homos and nobody readds them, but i compound fractured my tibia/fibula. it was painful lol and poking out through the skin. it was like i had 2 knees on one leg, it felt weird too.

I dislocated my kneecap several times. Once was skiing, once was slipping on a retaining wall and once was having sex (FUCKING PAINFUL). Fast forward 2 years to last November and I had a tibial tuberoscity (google it). Its essentially a realignment of the patella....much more traumatic than a regular knee reco (of the ACL etc).

broke my leg, had to be 9 weeks in plaster (dont know how its called...) and after my leg was out of it i had to bend my knee wich was all dryed out and starting to bind to eachother..
hurts so fucking much :(

I've never really done that much damage skiing, save a few bruised ribs after falling rails. I always eat shit riding DH though.

In France last year, on the run into Morzine (the run under the Super Morzine lift, if anyone knows it), I took a 15ft cliff without cranking into it, after one of my friends told me it was possible to roll it, and you didn't need to boot off it. Fell 15ft, slammed into the ground chest first, followed by my head, followed by 40lbs of Blindside. Not fun.

well i've been freaking lucky, worst pain i've been in was probably when i put a peroxide covered contact lens in my eye and it hurt so much my eyelid wouldn't open, making it impossible to get the fucking acid covered lens out of my eye for about a minute.

i've also fractured my tailbone a couple times, but that ^ was worse.

Nuckle a 45 foot on my side/back and broke my left arm in half.  Killed for like 2 weeks

Basically the same thing happened to me. It was the day after chrostmas and me and my neighbor were playing with my new metal baseball bat. I was playing catcher and he hit me in the face on his backswing. My face tore open just below my left eye and bled a whole lot. My parents say it one of the scariest things thy have ever seen but i dont remember it at all. I guess i was pretty lucky though. Any higher and i wouldnt be seeing out of my left eye now and any lower and my cheekbone would have been smashed to pieces. I still have the scar from it. The most painful thing of my life however was under rotating a frontflip so that my skis made it around but go stuck under me and i was laying doen on my tails causing the worst shinbang imaginable. I couldnt do anything but scream for about 3 minutes. At which point i regained composure and yelled "MY ANKlES ARE BROKEN". They werent but it was still funny. But seriously i couldnt walk for a week or ski well for like 3 months.

haha i always keep half my prescription from previous injuries so I can take them once I fuck myself up again

oh and if were talking about when times when we were super young I got 3rd degree burns all over my body when I was 4. What made it even nastier? They were all friction burns from getting stuck between a treadmill and a wall. My dad wanted to put me in the bathtub after it and luckily i screamed enough that he didnt cause otherwise I woulda went into shock and probably died

Jump of my 5 foot deck onto a soccer ball. Landed on the ball with my right ankle. When I landed I heard a pop and then the worse pain I ever felt.My face went pale, I started getting shivers, and actually started going into shock. Luckily my mom was a nurse and did not hesitate to take me to the hospital.Turns out I tore all the ligaments in my ankle except for my Achilles tendon. * weeks in a cast and 1 year of physical therapy. Nothing ever hurt worse than that one moment.

I'd have to say my broken pelvis, just to adjust my posture or lay down, get up, use the restroom was all soo horrible

It was just pointed out to me that you were asking if I didn't ride him again because I shot him, which is not what I thought you meant earlier. Sorry, I was tired.

Anyway, no, I didn't shoot him, though that's not a bad way to euthanize if you're a good shot. I do believe he was euthanized, though. He was a new horse of my trainer's, and she got rid of him. You can't have a horse who will do that in a barn with kids....it's like leaving a loaded gun laying around the house, you just can't. That's asking for someone to get killed. She got on him a few days later and he tried to do the same thing to her, so she either had him euthanized or gave him to someone who wasn't going to ride him, I can't remember for sure which. Pretty sure she had him euth'd though, which would make more sense because even if the new owner SAYS they wont ride him, you never really know.

But even if she hadn't been responsible and had left him in the barn, I wouldn't have ridden him again. I'm not afraid of falling, but rearing is the one thing I'll never (knowingly) deal with. Bucking, bolting, spookiness, babies...all those I'll take, but rearing is so, so dangerous because of the chances of getting crushed to death. It is THE most dangerous thing a horse can do in my opinion, and I'm not going to kill myself over it. Most people who value their lives feel the same way I do and won't deal with that shit, no matter how good a rider they are.

65ft jump was just to small, everything iced up, 2nd time ever hittin the jump went for a three, 10 feet past the transition.

spiral fractured humerous. the brake didnt hurt that bad. the radial nerve (funny bone) under severe inflamation however was another story.... from my elbow to my fingertips would go from being paralyzed and as cold as ice to feeling like it got shoved in a pool of lava while being stabbed all over. Nothing short of morphine would cut the pain at all. Nerve pain is the worst ive ever experienced.

or, when I was in eighth grade I was in the on-deck circle at a baseball tourney warming up and the kid batting fouled one off. The on deck circle was only like 15 feet from home plate, super sketch. I managed to turn my body and the ball smoked me right in the spleen. Couldn't move for like ten minutes, instantly puked, it was awful.

i feel that, i was throwing and a bar of the facemask from a D-Lineman lined up perfectly with the groove where that nerve is. Felt like my arm was on fire for a few quarters. luckily i was yaked out on yellow jackets, or it would of been worse.

7 years later, i still dont have normal function in my right "funny bone" nerve.

broken 10 bones in my arms/wrist/hand in one shot while skiing 2 years ago.. not so bad until I came for sugery and I had to stay awake cause of something I don't remember.. not the best time and now, I can't lift something or anything cause my wrist never healed totally and will broke again !

spinal tap back in high school... worst pain ever and then I ended up not resting long enough/ having the spinal fluid leak out causing me to pass out in class

Broken Heart.

Worst pain I have ever been in hands down is when I had a kidney stone. Seriously excruciating. I couldn't walk or anything; they had to carry me into the hospital and I was throwing up because it hurt so badly. They thought it was my appendix but then it turned out to be this kidney stone. They thought I had passed it when I was in the hospital, and I went out to Utah a few days later. While I was on the flight though I started having this terrible pain again - turns out I didn't pass it. So I had to endure three hours of excruciating pain until we landed and then they had to take me to the hospital in Utah. Not a fun time :(
