Ok so we all know we have very little time to live our lives, (with 2012 and such) so I decided to make a thread where all you Newschoolers can have a chance to confess your sins. You can also just reflect on your life accomplishments if you like, anything goes, after all we are all going to die soon...

its the end of the fourth dimension maya calendar in chilam balam which said that this next dimension is the "prosperity dimension". apocalypse stems from the Greek word for "revealing" ergo, when chilam balam says its an apocalypse it refers to a revealing that will create the prosperity dimension.

just because the Mayans decided to stop the calendar on that day doesn't mean its the end of the world.. life goes on... also its a great excuse for not doing your homework just say "i thought today was going to be doomsday"

The one thing I don't understand is why does the end of their calendar really mean anything. I mean technically it had to end somewhere, it's not like they could have produced an infinite calendar. If that was really dumb, somebody please enlighten me, I'm not very educated on the subject.

they had gone through multiple calendars throughout their civilization. the end means that the calendar starts over, but their civilization died out before they made another, so everybody thinks that it is the end

also, because the mayan and current calendar are not in sync, the actual mayan calendar ended in the 1990's, so we are already past doomsday
