Snowpark Niagra?

I guess snowpark closes during winter, which makes no sense to me due to the fact snow doesn't melt in winter. I called them a while ago and they said they were condemned or evicted...i forgot which. Any locals know whats goin on with snowpark and if and when it'll be open again?

there facebook page is no longer. i thought they were going to go out of bussiness but they are still saying they will open back up for spring and summer.

that place was a tax write off for the owner who recently was in some federal legal trouble if i recall right. place sucked anyways, there were always more employees than paying customers (excluding season pass holders)

run like shit, but a damn good time to hang out. as of now i really have no idea whats going on and its making me sad. but from what i understand they were doing repairs over the winter so it should still be there...

NIAGARA FALLS — Snow Park Niagara Falls has a new Native American theme.

The operators of the downtown tourist attraction, which opened with great fanfare in June 2009, have shifted gears at the site located in the 400 block of Main Street.

The snow tubing hill and synthetic ice rink originally billed as the venue’s top two attractions are now accompanied by five custom-made teepees and a new 5,000-square-foot gift shop that offers authentic and themed Native America goods, Niagara Falls memorabilia and I Love New York items.

I didn't think this place could get any more stupid yet they do. What in the world makes them think they will get people to visit this place that has a bunch of stupid tepees and some shitty I love NY shirts and mugs.

U get nostalgic thoughts when i start thinking about this place haha. I go to school 7 minutes away at NU.

I used to enjoy going here when i was a freshman in college. I think that was the only year they really had the park -- the 09/10 season, but correct me if i'm wrong.

It really was a cool concept. I remember being so pumped when i was in my dorm room and i found the place online. i thought i was reading something wrong. i was like WTF?? THIS PLACE is right near the school?????

Unfortunately it never really seemed to get much business. It was good for awhile but they had problems keeping it interesting, which is actually understandable when it's just a relatively small metal slope tower thing in a non-skiing area.

It's definitely closed now as stated before. Pretty much an eyesore. A good chunk of this past school year i meant to inquire with someone about buying their rails, but I kept forgetting.

That rail jam to win the windells trip was fun too, though i had no shot haha.
