IMO the screen is a waste, If you're mounting it on your helmet, test angles before you take it to the mountain (I AM FUCKING TIRED OF WATCHING YOUR SKIS WHILST YOU SKI, SOMETIMES I LIKE TO WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING.) If you are doing follow cams, use 1080 or 720 at 60fps and what you see is pretty much what the GoPro sees thanks to it's wide view. If I could get a screen for free, by all means I would get one but other than that I wouldn't drop that much money on something so pointless.
i'm having this same problem. firmware was installed and the camera was switched to lcd on mode but still the screen does nothing. maybe i'll try to install everything again (for the third time) but i thought i'd post in here in case anyone has any other ideas.
