This algeo 2 homework is killing me. Anyone want to help?
Here is a question I am having trouble with.
Imagine that you are examining a sample that contains radioactive atoms with a half-life of 5.0 years.
a. The radioactive decay of these atoms can be modeled by the equation y = 100 * b^X where X represents the time in years. What is the value of b n this equation?
b. What is the radioactive material's rate of decay?
c. If the level of the radioactivity remaining is 93% of the original level, how old is the sample you are examining? Explain your response.
I don't get it...
Oh and guys, I know this is NSG, but I'm hoping for at least a few legit helpful replies. Thanks
