Good Film

What's your favorite types of film, I use kodak 100 tmax b&w film mostly. what do you use, what do you get out of it? I'm looking for different types so anything will help

Black and White
Kodak px-125 for meh nothing special
Kodak tx-400 & tmax-400 for more sport oriented photo
Kodak tmax 3200 for night urban speed shooting
Illford every once in a while when I can't get Kodak
Color
Kodak Ektar 100 for saturated color
Kodak Portra 800 I am looking to dabble with

I usually only do black and white because I only have the ability to develop black and white myself. Unfortunately I have to pay to have color done for me, sucks not having the setup for color

Apparently color isn't that hard. I've heard quite a few times that if you can do black and white you can do color just as easily. I like neopan 100 or 400 for 120, or tmax cause the grain is smooth and nice. For 35mm b and w tri x is probably my favorite. Color wise, I shoot a lot of superia 400, it's cheap and decent. That, or ektar. I gotta get my hands on some portra.

I got some ektar today, put it in my Argus C-3

can't find porta in any stores which makes me mad cause I live in Rochester

For B&W 4x5 I usually use Ilford HP5+, although my favorite is TMAX 100.

For B&W 120 I use Ilford Delta 100.

For color I use Portra 160 (NC or VC, depending on the situation), Portra 400NC for indoor stuff (amazing film if you haven't used it), or Velvia 100 for some 4x5 architecture stuff if I'm feelin' it.

Portra 160NC is my favorite film ever though, I use that whenever I can.

Oh and to say the films I like. Illford hp5 mmmmm contrasty! for color man I use to love kodak ultra color 400 but that hasn't been made in years. Right now I have Porta 160NC(i think they are getting rid of this film as well).

They stopped making ultra color right when they started making ektar I think. It was the stuff with the purple on the box right? Yeah, this stuff

That was the stuff. Man I miss it I think I need to dig online for some old stock. The only bad thing about it was that if someone had red in their face it really showed on the film.
