Who makes the best cars?

According to a test done by consumer reports magazine, the following car manufacturers produce the best cars, with these ratings.

1. Honda - 74
2. Subaru - 73
3. Toyota - 71
4. Volvo - 68
5. Ford - 67
6. Hyundai - 66
7. Mazda - 65
8. Nissan - 65
9. Volkswagen - 63
10. Mercedes-Benz - 57
11. BMW - 57
12. General Motors - 56
13. Chrysler - 43

These are just the overall scores that consumer reports landed these brands of car makers. Anybody agree or disagree?

Thoughts? Who should move up/down on the list?

those are a bunch of figures based on the mainstream consumer population's notions.

I am surprised VW is so low, i guess they do make some shitty automatics but there manuals can contend with any of those.

It's funny to think how would that list change if we lived in Europe? BMW, VW, Saab, volvo they would all move up to the top spots. Odd how cars change over an ocean...

all i know is that my mazda tribute was made by ford i believe? and its a piece of shit, its still goin at 200,000km+, but my brother and i have had to get it fixed so many fuckin times its ridiculous

Numba two - Suba roo

I front flipped my Subaru Forester into a culvert last November, full of about 8 inches of water and cowshit. Good thing she sucked in enough water to stop the engine.... it saved me from turning the key.

After the wrecker brought her home, my Dad broke his ass getting the water out (in freezing weather...), as well as getting the fluids straightened out. I couldn't believe I was able to drive to the body shop... where the Suby got a minimal repair job to be road legal.

I may not have my sunroof anymore, and my car looks like it was a prop in a Jurassic Park movie, but she's running strong.

they make the expensive cars. and if you bought an expensive car, you have a lot of money. so any business knows to make more money off of someone with a lot of money, their cars have to break down and need constant maintenance.

I currently drive a nissan xterra but i used to drive a honda civic. That thing was completely indestructible and such a great car. Simple, yes. But it was built so incredibly well that it withstood the abuse I gave it; which was a lot.

This is what i drive currently don't know if you can see the tdi part but yes it's a tdi. Absolutely love this car have about 130 thousand miles and runs like a charm, i haven't had any major repairs yet, gets amazing gas milage, obviously a manual. But of course my family has always owned a VW and i love them so i might be biased...
