I really like most of the new stuff. Its better for streetwear than most of the older stuff, besides the 09/10 winter line (Morado, emcee, verde) which were IMO some of the sickest hoodies/crews that I have seen from any company. But I definitely like the new direction they are taking. It's going to become less of buying one piece for skiing and more of buying multiple hoodies/tees and possibly jeans and hats for streetwear. Better use of money IMO

Id rather it that way. Its much easier for me to justify spending that much on a hoody Ill wear around in a normal size, than 60+ on a sweatshirt thats going to get destroyed skiing, when it gets dirty and railstained and demolished.

Honestly I really like the direction they're going, Winter Line was awesome and the past 2 spring lines have been as well, the only thing ive seen for the future that I don't like is the train conductor hat

No but seriously, I don't understand what I am doing that is so bad. I mean, yeah, I might sound a bit high and mighty with some of the stuff I said, but I am just speaking my opinion. I really like the stuff jiberish is putting out and where they are headed.


And don't compare me to kangbang. I would have to do a hell of a lot more than troll the jiberish thread for a second to even get near his level.

so gabeski just gives a big talk about how they could make more money by just printing a big j crown on everything but they wont do that because they want to keep their designs fresh but then we see they just made a belt with a giant j crown on it. I'm confused.

Maybe make a belt that isn't necessarily a stock design? If you go in karmaloop there's several rands that sell belts that are exaclty the same design. I'd rather see something innovative, but people like to buy the brand name and jiberish is smart to meet the demands of that group

I'd rather buy a belt with just a logo because it looks much more classy than one with a bunch of colors and designs, and that's just my opinion. A belt is something I think should look clean, save the artwork for the t shirts and sweatshirts.

At least back to Jiberish, does anyone around 5'7" or 5'8" have pictures of them wearing a savings and loan? I'm not sure whether to go L or XL for streetwear, I hear they fit small

Let me break it down for you:
First off I work retail, and I'm good at it. I've won sales contests from Burton, k2, Icebreakers, Nordica, and Orage. I needed a job for 3 months over the summer, so I applied at Pac Sun because I thought it was the closest thing to a ski shop for the summer.
Anyways the whole model is to get people to trust you and then distract you from everything else. This is how you are supposed to greet customers for the first time and these are all out of the training sheet I received on my first day.

-There 4 types of sellers:
JR Pro- "Hi, these are the sales"
Semi Pro- "Hows it going today? I really like your shirt, where did you get it?"
Pro- "Hey dude whats up? hows the weather outside today?"
Expert- "Hey how's it going? are there any good parties going on tonight?"

-After the first connection is made you are to inform them of the sales going on for that particular day and if there are any extra bonus specials.

-Do not spend more than 30 seconds with a customer, if they ask a question point them in the right direction then go help someone else.
On my second day I received a lecture from the manager because I was helping a lady pick out boardshorts for her son and I spent exactly 2 minutes and 47 seconds too long with her.

- Try to send people as far back into the store as you can.

- Compliment the person on whatever you can, gain their trust. If multiple people are in the store as a group break them up.

- Always have your back facing a wall, never the entrance or the back of the store.

- Be loud! We should be able to hear you talking to your customer at the front of the store all the way in the back.

-Move around- It shows people you love your job

- "your sales goal of this person is $__"
"add on ___ items to your sale"

- When your shift is over notify a manager to walk you out of the store to prevent Internal Loss
