Level 1 is donating 30% of the overall profit from their store to the Red Cross for the next week to help out in Japan.
30 percent of profit is the money they actually make, not the money they spend on the product(cost).
They should donate 100% of their profit to japan if they really want to make a difference. Shit, a dude I know raised over $15k just selling stickers. And that's just in donations, not total(5 a sticker, 3 and any extra to japan.)
I will precede this post by saying, I totally respect Level 1 for making a contribution to Japan, any donation is a great thing to be doing. I've donated both money and goods, and I encourage others to as well.
BUT, and again, not to be a dick, 30% of his paycheck is not the same thing. (that would be 30% of total revenue). Once this guy gets his paycheck, he will pay tax. He will pay rent. He will pay bills. He will pay for gas. He will pay for food and other expenditure. From whats left over, that is his 'profit' from which he can donate 30% which I'm sure will be well received. But its not the same as 30% of his whole paycheck.
PS, why aren't you an orange name!
profit = revenue - costs
that wouldnt be 30% of a paycheck. you take ur monthly income and then pay for everything you need to live (rent, food, gas, car, phone, etc). whats left over would be considered a profit.
doesn't matter, just sayin.
