Yesterday at Breck some park skiers that were on the lift were giving me shit for skiing with out poles. I personally feel that I ski better with out poles so Im gonna keep it that way. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I feel like being a judgmental douche bag while your skiing reflects upon who you are in real life, which would be a douche bag. Honestly who cares if Im skiing with out poles, as long as your skiing then I don't see a problem./ end rant.

i broke my poles and had to ski without them for a weekend, i hated it and it felt so unatural to me. Thats just me though, it's different for everyone. Everyone just needs to do what they want and what makes them feel comfortable

yes because the lift line is NEVER enough line for me to wait in! i have to at least wait another 2 mins. before i can go through the park! fuck off. you want to wait before features, go for it but you are retarded if you think everyone else is going to have to as well.

ya know its basically the same principal as waiting in the lift line ,if you want to get on the lift you wait in line if you want to hit the rail and some one is in front of you then you have to you wait your turn. pretty much anyone who made it through kindergarden understands this.

ah ok because all parks are so crowded that at the top of the park, there has to be a line or else everyone would be running over each other... gotcha! and as far as i know, parks are built to be ridden all the way through, not to be stopped at before each feature.

ummm yes actually when parks are crouded people usually wait untill it is there turn to go otherwise everyone would be running over each other, and granted there is a natural flow to the park that should be respected and I feel that most people understand this even the ones going slow trying new tricks. its the shit heads like you that disrupt the flow by cutting everyone off and buddging up on people when they are trying to ski.

You've obviously have never been to breck. Sometimes you have to wait ten to fifteen minutes just to hit the jumps. So um yeah your stupid.

Lol totally agree with you dude, I always give my poles to my snowboarding buddies (obviously because they are lame) feels free without them,

I've always felt poles are a mental stability thing rather than an actual aid especially on groomed runs.

I ride Breck 5 days a week, and I never see anyone getting hated on?...ever?

I definitely see near collisions, "snakings", and whatnot, but that's really just because everyone is fucking sending it and whipping around hot. It's never personal, and it's usually resolved with a "my fault".

It's lame some kids were shitting on you from the lift, but who cares? You already answered your own question: they're douchebags. Did you come here to be cottled over it?

People make a big deal over the "negative park vibes", but I honestly feel like it's a situation where you get out what you put in. Say what's up to people, clap your poles, throw head nods, and have fucking fun...I promise no one is going to be a meanie to you. If they are? They're almost definitely insecure teens who gain self-worth by outward comparison and are the same tools found posturing in their everyday lives off of the hill. It's a fucking cliche and the same song everyone else is singing, but do you.

Honestly, if you're that sensitive, maybe you should avoid the park entirely.

screw it, no pole steeze is sweet. personally, i think it helps to get lower and steezier, hand drag on butters, and get more into the free feeling of the sport. forget the norm and just do whatever feels most comfortable for you
