ya, 80 bucks is enough...except it probably isnt worth it. i use etrade.com and it charges 20 bucks per transaction (each time you sell or buy). so basically your only getting 60 bucks worth of stock which isnt worth it in your case.

you have to have a license to be on some trading floors. I think you can sign up with other trade companys that charge less than 20 a trade.

most online trading firms (etrade ameritrade etc.) require at least 1000 bucks to open an account, and then charge anywhere from 8-12 bucks per trade, so youre gonna need more than 80 bones... i dont know about the requirements if you just want to call up a broker, but theyll probably skin you alive since youre going through an actuall person... just get a job, get 1000 bucks, and trade to your hearts content.

yah, the problem is gettin a job and 1000 dollars is never gonna happen for me in 2004. I was hopin my 80 would turn into 1000 if I invested. I really just need to invent something.

ameritrade has a online trading site that is free, like freetrades.com or something like that, but it doesn't have realtime quotes, so my buddy has an ameritrade account which he only use to get quotes and trades on the free site, he has made 25,000 since christmas on penny stocks, he started with 5,000

i have qualcom and JDSU. for awhile qualcom was at 150 and i bought a 75 and JDSU was at 75 and it jumped to 300!!. TOO bad i didnt sell. It is in the lnog term for college but both are now worth like 6 bucks. It was glorious though
