Replying to Photo final project topic

so we're starting with our final projects next week gotta come up with an idea. I want to do something with street photography but I'm not really sure what. Thinking about crime and punishment with a focus on working "the beat", we've got a lot of bars and nightlife in my city so theres a lot of street cop activity that I think would make some interesting photos. Any other ideas within the "Street Photography" realm? thoughts on the police thing, etc. my class is full of facebooking retards and my teacher is away till next week so I need thoughts!
