i would write this in there, but it needs its own spot

FUCK JETTA, FUCK VW

i bought a BRAND NEW, 12 miles on it, Jetta Gl Wagon 7 months ago, and its spent so much fucking time in the shop its rediculous. During the winter water leaks INTO the car. Driving home from sunday river to vt, my friend had to use his credit card to scrape ice from the INSIDE of the car. They replaced all the seals, the carpets and everything CLOTH (due to water damage) and the problem still exists. The transmission drops gears and bucks, but they cant figure it out. Half the time my gas gauge doesnt read right (i filled up my gas tank in vt, drove to boston, and i still had A FULL TANK OF GAS)

all in all, FUCK VOLKSWAGEN...i wish i never bought the damn car, haha thats it

Yeah like i said in the other thread VW were good a few years ago, they started producing cars in Mexico though and since then quality has been dropping. Its your fault for not researching it before you bought one though.

yeah dspin, its my fault for not researching the car before i bought it...every fucking thing i read was positive, the car drove like a dream when i bought it....have u ever heard of a LEMON??

and its an 04' Jetta...and it WAS made in germany, not mexico....the wagons are still made in Fuhrer-Land

they are...its going through lemon law now, which is basically the legal way to get a new car...it just really chaps my ass to write a check every month to vw for a car that sucks more dick then a prostitute on a payday

i bought the jetta cause it was in my price range, and i needed a wagon to carry all my ski/camera shit with me and still have a backseat..and i didnt feel like paying for a THULE then

dude if you are going to get a new car out of this try to get a passat wagon because i looked online before i bought my car and it said that passats are less likely to have problems than jettas plus, not to sound like a nerd, but passats are supposedly the 5th safest car in the world or somthing like that

I think the Phaeton or whatever is the only car still made in Germany. It's a luxury car from VW, and for the same price you can get a car that's a lot better. I've never seen one on the road...

nope... only jetta is made in Mexico... the rest of the VW line and Audi is definitely from Germany.

we have a 2k2 passat and my uncle has a 1999 passat and his gives him shit all the time and ours it so far fine. he knows a shitload about cars and he said that supposidle they fixed all the problems when they came out with the new design (they one we have) BMW is way better though!

Yerah my dads Audi did the same thing, it just died one day and hasnt been the same since. Porsche Audi and VW are all the same company so keep that in mind next time you buy a car.

my aunt bought a new volvo s80, after two years she had replaced everything on the car. twice. still had all the receipts. she wrote to volvo, sent copies of the receipts, they gave her a brand new volvo suv. (can't remember what it's called. it's late.) pretty kickin deal. lemon law is a good thing, now if they only included motorcycles in that law.

When I had my Jetta I felt like I had a second job as an auto repairman. I basicly rebuilt the entire car over the course of three years, from suspension parts to crank arms.

ive got a 91' jetta GLI, only had a few minor problems with it,
- crack in winshield (left it outside and it got flooded, vacuumed the water out, no problem)
- slips out of reverse when going too fast. all that means is no more reverse doughnuts
- trunk is jammed for all eternity
- timing was off, a 5 min. fix

and thats about it. considering it has over 60,000 miles on it, thats pretty damn good.

it doesnt help the fact that i drive discusting amounts of miles on mine...i bought it in late august, its not july, and im almost at 21,000 miles...but still...crap like the upolstery stitching is tearing apart...it doesnt like to play burnt cds anymore, the transmission is severely fucked, it leaks, it keeps telling me im outve washer fluid when its full, one night on the highway all my headlights died...i was on 89 in vt/nh and trying to replace fuses in the pouring rain, the turn signals only work half the time, theyve replaced NUMEROUS sensors for computer problems, ect...and it still is broken

yah, just do that lemon law thing and get a passat diesel, thats the only car I can see sensible for you to drive if you put that many miles on it.

i almost bought a diesel but at the time i bought it, diesel fuel was more expensive and seeing as its vt, i dont wanna get stuck somewhere trying to find diesel fuel...i regret not getting the diesel though...woulda been cheaper and better mialage, and yeah 20,000 miles in less then a year is an assload, ive only got 30,000 left on the warranty and that should be kicked by next summer

this jetta sounds pretty shitty. if you didn't care about automatic wndows and locks, you could get, i think it's a GL where there is no electronic things which means less problems in some cases

my cuzin had a Vw jetta for like 8 years or so and said he never had to replace any trhing . just did regular matnance on it once a month and it was a decent car .. and i might be bying it off of him this fall i hope it dies the same for me .

who gives a fuck how a car does in a crash??? You dont get a car to crash it. If your driving sucks so bad you are certain to crash, you should have your license cut up and get a Yoshimitsu solar kick to the balls/box. Try not tailgaiting. People should be forced to drive cars with a railroad spike mounted to the sturrin wheel. Maybe then they'd give a fuck and not drive like some chinamom fresh off the boat.
