Helmet Ear Pads

Are ear pads really necessary for anything? Seems to me like they don't really have much padding at all.

Any downsides to having a helmet without them (besides the fact that you need something under the helmet to keep your ears warm...)?

1. Remove ear pads
2. Wear hat and goggles underneath helmet.
3. Look like every other member on newschoolers.

Thanks for the style lesson, but I'm looking a little further than purely aesthetics here. More along the lines of functionality and safety.

They keep your ears warm that's it. Then again I think the helmet does less moving around with ear pads.

my earpads didnt keep my ears warm, so i had to wear a beanie, then decided to just take out my useless earpads. Id probably use them if they kept me warm, if thats not your situation then its up to your personal preference, take em out and see how it looks

It helps the helmet fit better and it keeps earbuds in better then just a beanie.

Ear pads do nothing besides keep your ears warm... That should be pretty obvious to anyone
