Pole length

Hey guys. i want to cut down my poles to a good park length. i know it's all preference, but does anybody know a good range of lengths for me? i ride 166s and i'm about 5'9".

Im 5'11'' and i have 38 inch poles and its perfect for me, how short do you want your poles to be? 38 inches is a little below my waist so id go with 36 for you if you want them the same.

i decided 38 because it,s right at my hip bone and i'll grow like an inch or 2

heres how i measure park poles:

i stand up straight and have my arms straight at my side, then i grab my poles so the tips touch the ground. i cut them just high enough st i can touch the ground with them while standing up straight and holding the grips.

do 12" , its really useful when skiing pow.





Seriously tho, i have mine so when i stand straight up and hold the tops they just touch the ground.

I am just over 180cm and I use 115cm poles.
So like just under 6' and my poles are I dont really know in inches.

I'm 6'3 and I have 44 inch poles. Not that helpful for you probably.

I dont use poles in the park all that often but when I do i use poles that go to the center of my palm when my arms are down almost all the way.
When there is powder dropping i use a pole that is just smaller that the general 90 degree rule.

i just grab the shortest rental poles i can find and rock those,,,they don't get in the way and get the job done

Thanks for all the input! I decided 38 which is at my hip bone but I may go slightly shorter next year

Regular poles are 90degree's at the elbow,

so 90degree's at the WRIST will do for park poles.
