I know that it has been said plenty of times before, but I decided I would draw some more attention to this subject. The video uploader sucks, plain and simple. I have tried 7 times now to upload a video to no avail. I tried 5 times on Firefox and twice on Chrome. Yes, I downloaded a new web browser just to be able to upload a video and it still didn't work. I have a good internet connection, a good computer, the file size is 75 mb under the limit, and I can upload vids to Facebook and Vimeo just fine. The video will either just stop uploading (there is no way of knowing where it has stopped or how fast it is uploading due to the lack of a legit progress meter/bar) or load completely (I can tell on Chrome because of the built in upload progress bar) and then instead of taking me to the page where I enter the vid info, it just takes me back to the original upload page like I never even selected a file to begin with!!!
I would love to be hosting all of my ski vids on NS, but how can I do that when I can't even upload the video? Has anyone else had these problems and if so is there anything that they did to get around it? Also, to all site developers can you please put this at (or very near) the top of your "to do list"? If I'm getting frustrated with this and can't upload a video then I'm sure there are plenty of other kids with similar problems that is depriving the site of content and driving video hosting elsewhere (not that it really matters considering all the edits that get views and feedback these days are on YouTube or Vimeo and are posted in the forums).
